They built high places for Baal in the Valley of Ben Hinnom to sacrifice their sons and daughters to Molek, though I never commanded— nor did it enter my mind— that they should do such a detestable thing and so make Judah sin.

The people built high places for Baal in the Valley of Ben Hinnom. That is where they sacrifice their children to Molek in the fire. That is something I did not command. It did not even enter my mind. They did something I hate. They made Judah sin.”

他還在欣嫩子谷把自己的兒子燒死，獻作祭物。他行巫術、占卜、觀兆，求問靈媒和巫師。他做了許多耶和華視為惡的事，惹耶和華發怒。

反而步以色列諸王的後塵，又鑄造巴力神像。他不但在欣嫩子谷燒香，還效法耶和華在以色列人面前趕走的外族人的可憎行徑，焚燒自己的兒子作祭物。

他污瀆欣嫩子谷中的陀斐特，使人們不能焚燒自己的兒女獻給摩洛。

這是因為他犯罪，行耶和華視為惡的事，步耶羅波安後塵，使以色列人陷入罪中。

他們為巴力建邱壇，燒死自己的兒子作燔祭獻給巴力。我從未吩咐他們這樣做，連提都沒提過，連想都沒想過。因此，看啊，時候將到，這地方不再叫陀斐特或欣嫩子谷，要叫殺戮谷。這是耶和華說的。

「你把以下條例告訴以色列人。「在你們或寄居在你們中間的外族人中，如果有人把子女獻給假神摩洛，必須處死他，當地的人要用石頭打死他。我也必嚴懲那人，將他從民中剷除。因為他把子女獻給摩洛，玷污我的聖所，褻瀆我的聖名。如果那地方的人對此置之不理，沒有處死那人，我必嚴懲那人一家，從民中剷除他和那些追隨他與摩洛苟合的人。

你們在橡樹下，在青翠樹下以淫亂的方式祭拜假神，在山谷中和石縫間殺兒女作祭物。

瑪拿西誘使猶大人和耶路撒冷的居民作惡，比耶和華在以色列人面前所毀滅的各族更嚴重。

「瑪拿西王做的這些可憎之事，比以前住在這裡的亞摩利人更嚴重，使猶大人祭拜偶像，陷入罪中。

你還把你給我生的兒女燒作燔祭獻給偶像。難道你淫亂還不夠嗎？你竟屠殺我的兒女，把他們焚燒獻給偶像。

因為耶羅波安犯罪作孽，使以色列人陷入罪中，耶和華必拋棄以色列。」

這是因為耶羅波安犯罪，並使以色列人陷入罪中，惹以色列的上帝耶和華發怒。

她們淫蕩，手上沾滿血腥，與偶像淫亂，把為我所生的兒女燒死獻給偶像。

拿答像他父親一樣作惡多端，行耶和華視為惡的事，使以色列人陷入罪中。

前夫不可再娶這已被玷污的女子，因為那是耶和華所憎惡的。你們切不可把這種罪惡帶到你們的上帝耶和華將要賜給你們的土地上。

他拆掉伯特利高崗上的祭壇，即尼八的兒子耶羅波安誘使以色列人犯罪時建造的祭壇，把祭壇燒毀，搗碎成灰，又焚燒亞舍拉神像。

摩西對亞倫說：「這些百姓對你做了什麼？你竟使他們陷入大罪中！」

可是他沉溺於尼八的兒子耶羅波安所犯的罪惡，使以色列人陷入罪中。

你們當中不可有人焚燒自己的子女作祭物，不可有人占卜、算命、作法、行邪術、

所羅門背棄了我，去祭拜西頓人的女神亞斯她錄、摩押的神明基抹、亞捫人的神明米勒公。他沒有遵行我的道，沒有做我視為正的事，也不像他父親大衛那樣遵守我的律例和典章。

我必使你一家的下場像尼八的兒子耶羅波安家和亞希雅的兒子巴沙家一樣，因為你惹我發怒，並且使以色列人陷入罪中。』
