The Babylonians who are attacking this city will come in and set it on fire; they will burn it down, along with the houses where the people aroused my anger by burning incense on the roofs to Baal and by pouring out drink offerings to other gods.

The armies of Babylon are now attacking this city. They will come in and set it on fire. They will burn it down. They will burn down the houses where the people made me very angry. They burned incense on their roofs to the god named Baal. And they poured out drink offerings to other gods.

The Chaldeans who are fighting against this city shall come and set this city on fire and burn it, with the houses on whose roofs offerings have been made to Baal and drink offerings have been poured out to other gods, to provoke me to anger.

The Babylonians outside the walls will come in and set fire to the city. They will burn down all these houses where the people provoked my anger by burning incense to Baal on the rooftops and by pouring out liquid offerings to other gods.

耶和華又曰、斯邑也、我必降以禍災、不錫以福祉、付之於巴比倫王手、使之焚燬。

猶大王宮殿、耶路撒冷廬舍、必視為污衊、無異陀法、蓋在樓巔、人焚香以奉天象、酒以灌奠、崇敬他上帝、○

燬耶和華殿、王宮宦第、及耶路撒冷民室、

燬上帝殿、墮耶路撒冷城焚宮室、壞珍器。

我所欲者我必為之、昔我列祖、王公、在猶大諸邑、耶路撒冷逵衢焚香灌奠、奉事天后、當時咸得果腹、所遇亨通、不遘患難、我不焚香灌奠奉事天后、我則缺乏、又遇鋒刃饑饉而亡。諸婦女曰、昔我焚香、灌奠、為餅、以事天后、豈非我夫所許乎。

萬有之主以色列族之上帝耶和華云、爾與婦女、欲行之事、已出於口、曰、我曾發願、焚香灌奠、奉事天后、必償我願、必行所欲、

子採薪、父為炊、婦女團麵為餅、以奉天后、酒以灌奠、敬他上帝、干我震怒。

王宮民室、悉為迦勒底人所燬、墮耶路撒冷城垣。

以色列族之上帝耶和華云、猶大王既遣爾、諮諏於我、爾當告之曰、法老之軍旅、雖來輔翼、終歸埃及、迦勒底人必復至、攻陷斯邑、取而焚之。耶和華又曰、勿自欺云、迦勒底人將去、蓋彼無去志。浸假攻爾之迦勒底人、為爾所擊、其軍中惟遺被傷之卒、偃於幕下、亦能起、燬斯邑。

君聞之怒、遣軍滅其兇、焚其邑、

耶和華震怒、大發厥憤、重降其災、火焚郇邑、燬厥址基兮。

燬耶和華殿、王宮宦第、及耶路撒冷民室、

聖邑荒涼、郇城蕪沒、耶路撒冷傾圮。昔有聖室、輝煌矞麗、我祖頌美之處、茲經焚燬、我所艷羨之區、今變荒蕪。

耶和華又曰、凡諸邦國、不肯服軛、事巴比倫王、尼布甲尼撒者、必以鋒刃、饑饉瘟疫罰之、翦滅務盡。爾之先知、及卜筮、占夢、術數、巫覡、告爾云、爾勿服事巴比倫王、則勿聽。若而人所言、誕妄而已、如爾信從、我必驅爾、遠離斯土、使爾殞沒。

如爾不聽、不以安息日為聖日、仍於安息日負荷入耶路撒冷邑門、則我必火焚邑門、延及宮殿、無人撲滅。
