The Babylonians who are attacking this city will come in and set it on fire; they will burn it down, along with the houses where the people aroused my anger by burning incense on the roofs to Baal and by pouring out drink offerings to other gods.

The armies of Babylon are now attacking this city. They will come in and set it on fire. They will burn it down. They will burn down the houses where the people made me very angry. They burned incense on their roofs to the god named Baal. And they poured out drink offerings to other gods.

The Chaldeans who are fighting against this city shall come and set this city on fire and burn it, with the houses on whose roofs offerings have been made to Baal and drink offerings have been poured out to other gods, to provoke me to anger.

The Babylonians outside the walls will come in and set fire to the city. They will burn down all these houses where the people provoked my anger by burning incense to Baal on the rooftops and by pouring out liquid offerings to other gods.

迦勒底人烧了神的殿，拆毁了耶路撒冷的城墙，用火烧了城里所有的宫殿，又毁坏了城里一切珍贵的器皿。

我们口中说过的一切话，我们一定去作，我们要向天后烧香，浇奠祭，好像我们自己和我们的列祖，以及我们的君王和领袖，在犹大的各城和耶路撒冷的街上所行的一样。那时我们吃得饱，得享福乐，不见灾祸。但是，自从我们停止向天后烧香和浇奠祭以后，我们就样样都缺乏，又因刀剑和饥荒灭亡。”那些妇女又说：“我们不错是向天后烧香和浇奠祭，难道我们的丈夫不知道我们照着天后的形象制饼供奉她，向她浇奠祭吗？”

万军之耶和华以色列的神这样说：‘你们和你们的妻子亲口说过：我们一定要实行我们的愿，向天后烧香，浇奠祭。你们果然亲手作了。现在你们只管持定你们所许的愿，只管实行你们的誓言吧！’

儿子捡柴，父亲生火，妇女抟面，为天后做饼，又向别的神浇奠祭，惹我发怒。

迦勒底人放火焚烧王宫和民房，又拆毁了耶路撒冷的城墙。

“耶和华以色列的神这样说：你们要对差派你们来求问我的犹大王这样说：‘看哪！那出来帮助你们的法老的军队，必回到他们的埃及本地去。迦勒底人必回来，攻击这城，占领这城，放火烧毁这城。’耶和华这样说：你们不要自己欺骗自己，说：‘迦勒底人必定离开我们！’因为他们必不离开。即使你们击败了那攻打你们的迦勒底全军，他们中间只剩下一些受重伤的人，他们也必各从自己的帐棚里起来，放火烧毁这城。’”

王就发怒，派兵消灭那些凶手，焚毁他们的城。

耶和华大发震怒，倾倒他的烈怒；他在锡安放火，吞灭了锡安的根基。

他放火焚烧耶和华的殿和王宫，以及耶路撒冷一切房屋；一切高大的房屋，他都放火烧了。

你的圣城变了旷野，锡安成了旷野，耶路撒冷成了荒场。我们那圣洁和荣美的殿，就是我们的列祖赞美你的所在，被火烧了。我们所喜爱的一切，都成了废墟。

“‘无论哪一国、哪一邦，不服事巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒，不把颈项放在巴比伦王的轭下，我必用刀剑、饥荒和瘟疫去惩罚那国，直到我藉着巴比伦王的手把他们完全消灭。’这是耶和华的宣告。‘至于你们，不可听从你们的先知，也不可听从占卜的、解梦的、算命的和行邪术的；他们告诉你们说：你们必不会服事巴比伦王。因为他们向你们说虚假的预言，使你们远离你们的土地；我要赶逐你们，你们必要灭亡。

但如果你们不听从我，不守安息日为圣日，仍在安息日挑担子，进入耶路撒冷的城门；这样，我就必在耶路撒冷的各城门点起火来，烧毁耶路撒冷的堡垒，没有人能够扑灭。”
