The Babylonians who are attacking this city will come in and set it on fire; they will burn it down, along with the houses where the people aroused my anger by burning incense on the roofs to Baal and by pouring out drink offerings to other gods.

The armies of Babylon are now attacking this city. They will come in and set it on fire. They will burn it down. They will burn down the houses where the people made me very angry. They burned incense on their roofs to the god named Baal. And they poured out drink offerings to other gods.

The Chaldeans who are fighting against this city shall come and set this city on fire and burn it, with the houses on whose roofs offerings have been made to Baal and drink offerings have been poured out to other gods, to provoke me to anger.

The Babylonians outside the walls will come in and set fire to the city. They will burn down all these houses where the people provoked my anger by burning incense to Baal on the rooftops and by pouring out liquid offerings to other gods.

以色列的上帝——万军之耶和华说，‘你们和你们的妻子曾许愿向天后烧香奠酒，并且身体力行。你们继续还所许的愿吧！’

孩子拾柴，父亲点火，妇人揉面做饼向天后献祭，向别的神明奠酒，惹我发怒。

迦勒底人放火焚烧王宫和民居，拆毁耶路撒冷的城墙。

“这是以色列的上帝耶和华的话，‘犹大王派你们来求问我，你们告诉他，前来支援你们的法老军队必中途返回埃及，而迦勒底人必卷土重来，攻占这城，将它付之一炬。耶和华说，你们不要自欺，以为迦勒底人必撤军。其实他们不会撤军。即使你们能打败迦勒底全军，他们营中受伤的残兵也必起来烧毁这城。’”

王大怒，派军队去剿灭凶手，烧毁他们的城。

耶和华大发烈怒，倾倒祂的怒气，在锡安燃起大火，焚毁城的根基。

放火焚烧耶和华的殿、王宫及城内所有的房屋。他烧毁了所有重要建筑。

你的众圣城已沦为荒场，甚至锡安已沦为荒场，耶路撒冷已沦为废墟。我们那圣洁、华美的殿——我们祖先颂赞你的地方已被焚毁，我们珍爱的一切都被摧毁。

如果哪一邦或哪一国不肯臣服于巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒，不肯负巴比伦王的轭，我必用战争、饥荒和瘟疫惩罚他们，直到我借巴比伦王的手毁灭他们。这是耶和华说的。你们不可听信你们的先知、占卜者、解梦者、巫师和术士的话，他们说巴比伦王不会征服你们。他们的预言是骗人的，只会使你们远离家园。我会赶走你们，使你们灭亡。

但如果你们不听我的话，不守安息日为圣日，仍在安息日运货物进耶路撒冷的城门，我必在各城门点起无法扑灭的大火，烧毁耶路撒冷的宫殿。’”
