今敵迫城築壘、欲攻取之、因鋒刃饑饉疫癘、此邑付於迦勒底人手、爾言已驗、爾目睹之矣、

今土壘已近於城以破之、城因鋒刃、饑饉、疫癘、將付於攻之之迦勒底人手、主言有應、為主所見、

“ See how the siege ramps are built up to take the city. Because of the sword, famine and plague, the city will be given into the hands of the Babylonians who are attacking it. What you said has happened, as you now see.

“‘ See how ramps are built up against Jerusalem’s walls to attack it. The city will be handed over to the armies of Babylon. They are attacking it. It will fall because of war, hunger and plague. What you said would happen is now happening, as you can see.

Behold, the siege mounds have come up to the city to take it, and because of sword and famine and pestilence the city is given into the hands of the Chaldeans who are fighting against it. What you spoke has come to pass, and behold, you see it.

“ See how the siege ramps have been built against the city walls! Through war, famine, and disease, the city will be handed over to the Babylonians, who will conquer it. Everything has happened just as you said.

Look! Siege ramps have come against the city to capture it, and the city, as a result of the sword, famine, and plague, has been handed over to the Chaldeans who are fighting against it. What you have spoken has happened. Look, you can see it!

Even now siege ramps have been built up around the city in order to capture it. War, starvation, and disease are sure to make the city fall into the hands of the Babylonians who are attacking it. LORD, you threatened that this would happen. Now you can see that it is already taking place.

我今日指天地以作證、爾於所得約但之西境、不能延命、乃必滅甚速、至於盡亡。

爾上帝耶和華所許諸福、既臨於爾、爾反其道、則爾上帝耶和華亦必使諸禍降臨、迨爾滅亡、在爾上帝耶和華所賜之腴壤。如爾背爾上帝耶和華所命之約、服事崇拜他上帝、則耶和華必震怒爾、使爾速亡、於其所賜之腴壤。

以色列族之上帝耶和華曰、斯民作惡、干我震怒、我遐棄之、使迦勒底人攻擊斯邑、築高壘、用器械、毀猶大王宮殿、庶人宅第、殺戮其民、尸相枕藉。

爾嘗言斯邑之民、戮以鋒刃、因以饉饑、重以疫癘、為巴比倫王所取、惟我以色列族之上帝、昔我忿怒震烈、散民於列邦、今我必撫集之、使歸故土、安居無虞。

據繇辭、當右往耶路撒冷、發鎚破之、厥口孔張、大聲號呼、欲行殺戮、復發鎚攻門、建營築壘。

以色列族之上帝耶和華曰、巴比倫王、及迦勒底人、環繞爾邑、爾雖與戰、我必使爾倒戈、使迦勒底人入於斯邑。我忿怒殊烈、必以巨力大能攻爾。斯邑之民人牲畜、必降瘟疫、以擊之、俾其死亡。耶和華曰、嗣後猶大王西底家、與邑中所遺之臣民、不戮於鋒刃、斃於瘟疫、死於饑饉者、我必付之於敵人、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒之手、俾以鋒刃殺戮、不加矜恤。

昔我使我僕先知傅命、言必降災、斯災已及爾祖、彼遂悛悔、自謂萬有之主耶和華所立之旨、欲降以災、罰我所為、今及我躬矣、

蓋耶利米曾曰、耶和華云、我將付此城於巴比倫王、使彼取之、猶大王西底家不能脫於迦勒底人手、必解至巴比倫王前、詰問研究、曳至巴比倫、居彼、待我耶和華眷顧之、爾曹雖戰巴比倫軍、必不獲利。西底家王聞之、怒其言不利、故下之於獄。

主耶和華又曰、我使四災降於耶路撒冷、鋒刃、饑饉、暴獸、瘟疫、使人畜靡有孑遺、其害豈非尤重乎。

年饑而民餒、體熱而人廢、絕於疫癘、嚙於獸齒、傷於毒蛇、外亡以刃、內害以驚、丁男與處女、赤子與白首、淪胥以亡。

天地可廢、吾言不可廢、○

老幼仆於逵衢、壯士處女、亡於鋒刃、當爾震怒之時、戮之而不惜兮。耶和華震怒之期已屆、四周禍至、無能逃遁兮、我所撫育者、敵盡殺之、靡有孑遺兮。

謂摩西曰、爾必返本、斯民既詣斯土、必遺棄我、背我所立之約、狥己私欲、從異邦人之上帝。其時我必震怒、遺棄斯民、不復眷顧、使其並吞於人、多更災患、彼必曰、我不蒙上帝所佑、致遭此禍。

野犬猶哺其子、我民之婦、殘忍難堪、若曠野之鴕鳥兮、哺乳之嬰、厥口甚渴、齦閉舌卷兮、孩提求餅、無人擘而予之兮。素飫肥甘者、今亡於逵衢兮、昔衣絳袍、為人提抱者、今偃於糞壤兮。昔所多馬人蹈罪愆、忽致傾圮、非人使然兮、今我民犯罪遭刑、較彼尤甚兮。昔彼顯宦、皜皜無比、若雪之白、若乳之潔、色若珊瑚、體若青玉兮。今其容變黑、形消骨立、有若枯木、至彼市廛、無人識之兮。寧殞於鋒刃、不願死於饑饉、土產已絶、日漸衰微兮。維彼婦女、素懷矜恤、今民淪喪、烹子而食兮。

彼禁食籲我、我必不應、彼獻燔祭禮物、我不悅納、必以鋒刃、饑饉疾疫、滅之務盡。耶利米曰、主耶和華與、諸偽先知曾告斯民、必不飲刃、不受饑、安居斯土、永獲平康、出於耶和華所賜。耶和華曰、維彼先知、託我之名、普傳妄誕、我未嘗遣之、亦未嘗降諭、彼所言者、虛偽之異象、無憑之卜筮、中心所思之幻境。今我頒詔、諭彼偽先知之事、彼未嘗奉我所遣、猶託我名而告民云、斯土必無鋒刃饑饉之虞、彼先知必以鋒刃饑饉殲滅之。

四月九日、邑民糧罄饑甚。

約押之軍至伯馬迦之亞伯、環攻其邑、築土為壘、逼近城壕、欲擊垣墻、而傾圮之。

俱遭慘死、無人哭泣、無人瘞埋、視若糞壤、亦有亡於鋒刃、死於饑饉、飛鳥走獸、食其尸骸。

我必於昔所賜爾祖及爾之地、戮以鋒刃、降以饑饉、斃以疾疫、滅之殆盡。

耶和華告耶利米曰、雖摩西撒母耳代民祈禱、我必弗恤、當遐棄之、屏之遠往、如彼詰爾當往何處、爾必傳我命、告之曰、當死則死、當殺則殺、當饑則饑、當虜則虜。耶和華又曰、我降四災於厥身、刃以戮之、犬以嚙之、飛鳥以噬之、走獸以滅之。

耶和華上帝與、是邑既為迦勒底人所取、乃命我贖田疇、償之以金、使人作證何耶。

耶和華諭耶利米曰、以色列族之上帝耶和華云、猶大王既遣爾、諮諏於我、爾當告之曰、法老之軍旅、雖來輔翼、終歸埃及、迦勒底人必復至、攻陷斯邑、取而焚之。耶和華又曰、勿自欺云、迦勒底人將去、蓋彼無去志。浸假攻爾之迦勒底人、為爾所擊、其軍中惟遺被傷之卒、偃於幕下、亦能起、燬斯邑。
