今敵迫城築壘、欲攻取之、因鋒刃饑饉疫癘、此邑付於迦勒底人手、爾言已驗、爾目睹之矣、

今敵築壘、勢甚危迫、攻城殆破、斯邑之人、戮以鋒刃、因以饑饉、重以疫癘、迦勒底人遂取邑垣、爾言有應、爾實鑒之。

“‘ See how ramps are built up against Jerusalem’s walls to attack it. The city will be handed over to the armies of Babylon. They are attacking it. It will fall because of war, hunger and plague. What you said would happen is now happening, as you can see.

Behold, the siege mounds have come up to the city to take it, and because of sword and famine and pestilence the city is given into the hands of the Chaldeans who are fighting against it. What you spoke has come to pass, and behold, you see it.

“ See how the siege ramps have been built against the city walls! Through war, famine, and disease, the city will be handed over to the Babylonians, who will conquer it. Everything has happened just as you said.

以色列之天主如是云、巴比倫王及迦勒底人於城外圍困爾、爾曹手執器械、欲與之戰、我必使爾器械不利而反退、並集迦勒底人入於斯邑、並集迦勒底人入於斯邑或作使仍集於斯邑我必施展大能巨力、發大威盛怒烈忿以攻爾、必擊斯邑之人民牲畜、使遭大瘟疫而死、主曰、斯後我必以猶大王西底家、與其諸臣眾軍、及在斯邑中、遭瘟疫鋒刃饑饉、所遺之人、悉付於巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒之手、其敵之手、索其命者之手、巴比倫王必擊之以刃、不惜之、不憐憫、不矜恤、

但我言我命、我所諭我僕眾先知者、豈不悉臨及爾祖乎、彼遂悛悔、自謂自謂或作曰萬有之主已擬定、擬定或作立志循我道途道途或作動作行為、施報我身、已若是行於我矣、○

蓋耶利米曾述預言曰、主如是云、我將付此邑於巴比倫王手、使彼取之、猶大王西底家不能脫於迦勒底人手、必付於巴比倫王手、面審詰問、面審詰問原文作其口彼此對言其目彼此相視必將西底家擄至巴比倫、居彼待我眷顧之、爾曹雖與迦勒底人戰、必不獲勝、此乃主所言、猶大王西底家遂問耶利米曰、爾何為述若是之預言、於是囚之於獄、

主天主如是云、我使四暴災降於耶路撒冷、即鋒刃、饑饉、猛獸、疫癘、於其中絕人與畜、其害豈非尤重乎、

使其受饑而體瘦、見消於熱疫毒癘、使野獸之齒害之、腹行者之毒傷之、少男幼女、嬰孩老叟、外遭鋒刃、內受驚惶、

天地可廢、我言不廢、

老幼仆於街衢塵埃、我處女壯士殞亡於刃、當主震怒之時、誅殺屠戮、不加矜恤、主使可懼之事、四周雲集、如眾集會於節期之日、主震怒之日、無能逃遁、無人存留、我所懷抱所撫育者、我敵滅之殆盡、

主諭摩西曰、爾與列祖偕寢之後、斯民必起、存邪僻之心、往拜異邦之神、即所將往之地、其居民所敬之神、違棄我、背我與彼所立之約、其時我必怒而棄之、掩面不顧之、使被吞食、多遭禍患災難、斯時也、彼必曰、我遭此禍災、豈非因我天主不在我中之故乎、

豺狼豺狼或作野犬猶哺乳其子、我民之婦殘忍、如曠野之鴕鳥、哺乳之嬰、厥口甚渴、舌卷卷原文作貼上齶、孩提求餅、無人擘而予之、素食肥甘者、今亡於逵衢、昔臥朱褥者、今偃於糞壤、昔所多瑪邪慝、忽致傾覆、不假人手、今我民作惡遭刑、較彼尤重、或作昔所多瑪俄頃傾覆並未藉人力我民之罪愆較所多瑪之罪愆尤重昔彼貴顯者、潔於雪、白於乳、體體或作色較珊瑚猶紅、形美如藍寶石、今則面黑於炭、皮膚貼骨、枯如槁木、以致在街市無人識之、亡於鋒刃者、較死於饑饉者猶為幸、死於饑饉者、土產罄盡、日漸衰微、我民敗亡之時、慈婦烹子以為食、

彼雖禁食、我不聽其呼籲、彼獻火焚祭與禮物、禮物或作他祭我不悅納、必以鋒刃饑饉疫癘、滅之淨盡、我耶利米曰、哀哉、主天主歟、眾先知曾告斯民曰、爾必不見鋒刃、不遭饑饉、主必使爾於斯地永享平康、主諭我曰、彼諸先知、假託我名預言、我未嘗遣之、未嘗命之、未嘗諭之、彼以虛偽之默示、卜筮妄誕、及己心之詐譎、傳於爾曹以為預言、今主論彼先知如是云、彼託我名預言、我未嘗遣之、彼曰、斯地必無鋒刃饑饉之災、彼先知必因鋒刃饑饉而滅、

約押及從者至伯瑪迦之亞比拉、將示巴困於城中、在城之四圍築壘、使城困於其中、使城困於其中或作壘近城濠從約押之軍眾、攻擊城垣、欲傾圮之、

皆必遭疫癘而死、無人哀哭、無人葬埋、必若糞土在地、亦有亡於鋒刃、死於饑饉、空中飛鳥、地上走獸、食其屍骸、

我必使其遭鋒刃、饑饉、瘟疫、以至滅於我所賜彼及其列祖之地焉、

主諭我曰、雖摩西撒母耳立於我前、為斯民祈禱、我心不悅斯民、當驅逐之、離於我前而去、如彼問爾曰、我儕可往何處、爾則告之曰、主如是云、當死者就死、當亡於刃者就刃、當饑者就饑、當擄者就擄、主又曰、我為之命定四災、刃以殺之、犬以囓之、飛鳥以噬之、野獸以滅之、

主耶和華歟、是邑既將付於迦勒底人手、乃命我曰、當以銀購田、使人為證何耶、
