and I gave this deed to Baruch son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the presence of my cousin Hanamel and of the witnesses who had signed the deed and of all the Jews sitting in the courtyard of the guard.

I gave Baruch the copies of the deed. My cousin Hanamel saw me do this. The witnesses who had signed the deed were there too. So were all the Jews who were sitting in the courtyard of the guard. Baruch was the son of Neriah. Neriah was the son of Mahseiah.

And I gave the deed of purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah son of Mahseiah, in the presence of Hanamel my cousin, in the presence of the witnesses who signed the deed of purchase, and in the presence of all the Judeans who were sitting in the court of the guard.

and I handed them to Baruch son of Neriah and grandson of Mahseiah. I did all this in the presence of my cousin Hanamel, the witnesses who had signed the deed, and all the men of Judah who were there in the courtyard of the guardhouse.

and gave the purchase agreement to Baruch son of Neriah, son of Mahseiah. I did this in the sight of my cousin Hanamel, the witnesses who had signed the purchase agreement, and all the Judeans sitting in the guard’s courtyard.

and I gave the deed of purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the sight of Hanamel my uncle’s son and in the sight of the witnesses who signed the deed of purchase, in the sight of all the Jews who were sitting in the courtyard of the guard.

and I gave the purchase deed to Baruch the son of Neriah, son of Mahseiah, in the presence of Hanamel my uncle’s son, and in the presence of the witnesses who signed the purchase deed, before all the Jews who sat in the court of the prison.

and I delivered the deed of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the presence of Hanamel mine uncle’s son, and in the presence of the witnesses that subscribed the deed of the purchase, before all the Jews that sat in the court of the guard.

and gave the purchase agreement to Baruch son of Neriah, son of Mahseiah. I did this in the sight of my cousin Hanamel, the witnesses who were signing the purchase agreement, and all the Judeans sitting in the guard’s courtyard.

And I gave the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, in the sight of Hanameel mine uncle’s[ son], and in the presence of the witnesses that subscribed the book of the purchase, before all the Jews that sat in the court of the prison.

I took both copies of the deed of purchase and gave them to Baruch son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah. I gave them to him in the presence of my cousin Hanamel, the witnesses who had signed the deed of purchase, and all the Judeans who were housed in the courtyard of the guardhouse.

and I delivered the deed of the purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the presence of Hanamel my uncle’s son, and in the presence of the witnesses who signed the deed of the purchase, before all the Jews who sat in the court of the guard.

“我把買賣契約交給尼利亞的兒子巴錄以後，就向耶和華禱告，說：

猶大王西底家執政的第四年，瑪西雅的孫子、尼利亞的兒子西萊雅和王同去巴比倫的時候，耶利米先知有話吩咐西萊雅，他是掌管住宿事務的官員。

於是耶利米把尼利亞的兒子巴錄叫了來，巴錄就從耶利米口中，把耶和華向耶利米所說的一切話，都寫在書卷上。耶利米吩咐巴錄說：“我被阻止，不能進耶和華的殿裡去。

更吩咐王子耶拉篾、亞次列的兒子西萊雅和亞伯疊的兒子示利米雅，去捉拿文士巴錄和耶利米先知；但耶和華把他們隱藏起來。

他們聽見這一切話，就驚懼起來，面面相覷，對巴錄說：“我們必須把這一切話稟告王。”他們向巴錄說：“請告訴我們，你怎樣寫下這一切話，是耶利米親口說的嗎？”巴錄對他們說：“這一切話是他親口向我講述的，我就用墨寫在書上。”眾領袖對巴錄說：“你和耶利米都要去躲藏起來；不要給人知道你們在甚麼地方。”

於是耶利米取了另一卷書卷，交給尼利亞的兒子文士巴錄；巴錄就從耶利米的口中，把猶大王約雅敬在火中燒掉的那書上的一切話，都寫在書卷上，還加上很多類似的話。

只是尼利亞的兒子巴錄慫恿你來反對我們，為要把我們交在迦勒底人的手中，好使我們被殺害，或被擄到巴比倫去。”於是加利亞的兒子約哈難和眾將領，以及眾民，都不聽從耶和華要他們留在猶大地的命令。相反地，加利亞的兒子約哈難和眾將領卻率領猶大所有餘剩的人，就是那些從被趕逐到各國回來住在猶大地的，包括男人、女人、孩童和王的眾公主，以及護衛長尼布撒拉旦留給沙番的孫子、亞希甘的兒子基大利管理的眾人，還有耶利米先知和尼利亞的兒子巴錄，

以下是猶大王約西亞的兒子約雅敬第四年，耶利米先知對尼利亞的兒子巴錄所說的話（巴錄從耶利米口中把這些話寫在書卷上）：“巴錄啊！耶和華以色列的神這樣說：‘你曾說：我有禍了！因為耶和華在我的痛苦上加添憂愁。我因唉哼而困乏，得不著安寧。’”耶和華對耶利米說：“你要這樣對他說：‘耶和華這樣說：看哪！我所建立的，我必拆毀；我所栽種的，我必拔除。我必這樣對待全地。你要為自己圖謀大事嗎？不要圖謀！看哪！我必使災禍降在全人類身上，但無論你到甚麼地方去，我必使你撿回自己的性命。’”這是耶和華的宣告。

因為我們努力去作的，不僅是主認為是美的事，也是眾人認為是美的事。
