The whole valley where dead bodies and ashes are thrown, and all the terraces out to the Kidron Valley on the east as far as the corner of the Horse Gate, will be holy to the Lord. The city will never again be uprooted or demolished.”

There is a valley where dead bodies and ashes are thrown. That whole valley will be holy to me. The side of the Kidron Valley east of the city will be holy to me. It will be holy all the way to the corner of the Horse Gate. The city will never again be pulled up by the roots. It will never be destroyed.”

The whole valley of the dead bodies and the ashes, and all the fields as far as the brook Kidron, to the corner of the Horse Gate toward the east, shall be sacred to the Lord. It shall not be plucked up or overthrown anymore forever.”

And the entire area— including the graveyard and ash dump in the valley, and all the fields out to the Kidron Valley on the east as far as the Horse Gate— will be holy to the Lord. The city will never again be captured or destroyed.”

邑之四周、共計一萬八千肘、是日以後、邑名曰耶和華在此、

陳於日月天象之下、即其所戀慕、服事順從、尋求崇拜者、無人收而瘞之、將於地上同乎糞土、

爾主耶和華、為其民伸冤之上帝曰、致眩之爵、所給忿怒之杯、我從爾手取之、俾不復飲、

彼與子孫、必永居於我賜我僕雅各、厥祖所居之地、我僕大衛必為其君、歷世弗替、

爾曹掣籤分地為業、當獻一區於耶和華、以為聖地、長二萬五千肘、廣一萬肘、其界四周、俱為聖地、其中復別一區、以為聖所、長五百肘、廣五百肘、其式維方、其外四周五十肘、以為隙地、於斯聖地、復量一區、長二萬五千肘、廣一萬肘、其中必有聖所、乃為至聖、此乃斯土之聖地、必歸於供役聖所、近前奉事耶和華之祭司、以為第宅及聖所之聖地、其一區、長二萬五千肘、廣一萬肘、必歸於殿中供役之利未人為業、建邑以居、所獻聖地之旁、當定一區、廣五千肘、長二萬五千肘、以建邑、歸於以色列全家、

且建陀斐特崇邱、即在欣嫩子谷、焚其子女於火、此事非我所命、亦非我心所思、故耶和華曰、時日將至、此地不復稱陀斐特、亦不稱欣嫩子谷、惟稱殺戮谷、蓋必葬死人於陀斐特、致無隙地、

我不復掩面、而不之顧、蓋我以我神注於以色列家、主耶和華言之矣、

告之曰、萬軍之耶和華云、我必如是毀斯民斯邑、若人毀陶人之器、不能復完、人必葬屍於陀斐特、致無隙地、耶和華曰、我必若是待斯土、與其居民、使此邑如陀斐特、耶路撒冷第宅、猶大列王宮室、凡在其上焚香於天象、灌酒於他神、而玷污者、必如陀斐特焉、○

我論一族、或論一國之時、言欲拔之、毀之、翦滅之、

使我巡其四周、見谷中布骨甚多、殊為枯槁、

論及是邑、爾言因鋒刃饑饉疫癘、付於巴比倫王手、以色列之上帝耶和華曰、
