Thus saith the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the LORD.

耶和华如此说：“若能量度上天，寻察下地的根基，我就因以色列后裔一切所行的弃绝他们。这是耶和华说的。”

耶和华如此说：“若有人能测量上面的天，探索下面地的根基，我才会因以色列后裔所做的一切弃绝他们。这是耶和华说的。”

耶和华说：“正如无人能量度高天，探测大地的根基，同样我也决不会因以色列人的所作所为而弃绝他们。这是耶和华说的。”

耶和华这样说：“人若能量度在上的诸天，测透地下面的根基，我也就会因以色列后裔所作的一切，弃绝他们众人。”这是耶和华的宣告。

耶和華如此說：若能量度上天，尋察下地的根基，我就因以色列後裔一切所行的棄絕他們。這是耶和華說的。

耶和華如此說：「若有人能測量上面的天，探索下面地的根基，我才會因以色列後裔所做的一切棄絕他們。這是耶和華說的。」

如能上度穹蒼、下測地基、則我因以色列裔所為、必遺棄之、耶和華言之矣、

耶和華又曰、如穹蒼可度、大地可測、則我念以色列族所為、必棄之如遺。

主如是云、如能上度天、下測地、則我亦因以色列族所為棄以色列族、此乃主所言、

This is what the Lord says:“ Only if the heavens above can be measured and the foundations of the earth below be searched out will I reject all the descendants of Israel because of all they have done,” declares the Lord.

The Lord says,“ Suppose the sky above could be measured. Suppose the foundations of the earth below could be completely discovered. Only then would I turn away the people of Israel. Even though they have committed many sins, I will still accept them,” announces the Lord.

Thus says the Lord:“ If the heavens above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth below can be explored, then I will cast off all the offspring of Israel for all that they have done, declares the Lord.”

This is what the Lord says:“ Just as the heavens cannot be measured and the foundations of the earth cannot be explored, so I will not consider casting them away for the evil they have done. I, the Lord, have spoken!

“ This is what the LORD says: Only if the heavens above can be measured and the foundations of the earth below explored, will I reject all of Israel’s descendants because of all they have done— this is the LORD’s declaration.

This is what the Lord says:“ If the heavens above can be measured And the foundations of the earth searched out below, Then I will also reject all the descendants of Israel For everything that they have done,” declares the Lord.

Thus says the Lord:“ If heaven above can be measured, And the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel For all that they have done, says the Lord.

Thus saith Jehovah: If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, then will I also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith Jehovah.

This is what the Lord says: If the heavens above can be measured and the foundations of the earth below explored, I will reject all of Israel’s descendants because of all they have done— this is the Lord’s declaration.

The LORD says,“ I will not reject all the descendants of Israel because of all that they have done. That could only happen if the heavens above could be measured or the foundations of the earth below could all be explored,” says the LORD.

Yahweh says:“ If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, then I will also cast off all the offspring of Israel for all that they have done,” says Yahweh.

Considerest thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which the LORD hath chosen, he hath even cast them off? thus they have despised my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.Thus saith the LORD; If my covenant[ be] not with day and night,[ and if] I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;Then will I cast away the seed of Jacob, and David my servant,[ so] that I will not take[ any] of his seed[ to be] rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.

As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.

Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?

I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham,[ of] the tribe of Benjamin.God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying,Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to[ the image of] Baal.Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:For this[ is] my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.As concerning the gospel,[ they are] enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election,[ they are] beloved for the fathers’ sakes.For the gifts and calling of God[ are] without repentance.

Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?[ It is] as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know?The measure thereof[ is] longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.

Fear thou not, O Jacob my servant, saith the LORD: for I[ am] with thee; for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have driven thee: but I will not make a full end of thee, but correct thee in measure; yet will I not leave thee wholly unpunished.

For I[ am] with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.

For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.

Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what[ is] his name, and what[ is] his son’s name, if thou canst tell?
