This is what the Lord says: If the heavens above can be measured and the foundations of the earth below explored, I will reject all of Israel’s descendants because of all they have done— this is the Lord’s declaration.

耶和华如此说：“若能量度上天，寻察下地的根基，我就因以色列后裔一切所行的弃绝他们。这是耶和华说的。”

耶和华如此说：“若有人能测量上面的天，探索下面地的根基，我才会因以色列后裔所做的一切弃绝他们。这是耶和华说的。”

耶和華又曰、如穹蒼可度、大地可測、則我念以色列族所為、必棄之如遺。

主如是云、如能上度天、下測地、則我亦因以色列族所為棄以色列族、此乃主所言、

This is what the Lord says:“ Only if the heavens above can be measured and the foundations of the earth below be searched out will I reject all the descendants of Israel because of all they have done,” declares the Lord.

The Lord says,“ Suppose the sky above could be measured. Suppose the foundations of the earth below could be completely discovered. Only then would I turn away the people of Israel. Even though they have committed many sins, I will still accept them,” announces the Lord.

Thus says the Lord:“ If the heavens above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth below can be explored, then I will cast off all the offspring of Israel for all that they have done, declares the Lord.”

This is what the Lord says:“ Just as the heavens cannot be measured and the foundations of the earth cannot be explored, so I will not consider casting them away for the evil they have done. I, the Lord, have spoken!

“ This is what the LORD says: Only if the heavens above can be measured and the foundations of the earth below explored, will I reject all of Israel’s descendants because of all they have done— this is the LORD’s declaration.

This is what the Lord says:“ If the heavens above can be measured And the foundations of the earth searched out below, Then I will also reject all the descendants of Israel For everything that they have done,” declares the Lord.

Thus says the Lord:“ If heaven above can be measured, And the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel For all that they have done, says the Lord.

Thus saith Jehovah: If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, then will I also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith Jehovah.

Thus saith the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the LORD.

The LORD says,“ I will not reject all the descendants of Israel because of all that they have done. That could only happen if the heavens above could be measured or the foundations of the earth below could all be explored,” says the LORD.

Yahweh says:“ If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, then I will also cast off all the offspring of Israel for all that they have done,” says Yahweh.

“ Have you not noticed what these people have said? They say,‘ The Lord has rejected the two families He had chosen.’ My people are treated with contempt and no longer regarded as a nation among them.This is what the Lord says: If I do not keep My covenant with the day and with the night and fail to establish the fixed order of heaven and earth,then I might also reject the seed of Jacob and of My servant David— not taking from his descendants rulers over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Instead, I will restore their fortunes and have compassion on them.”

The hosts of heaven cannot be counted; the sand of the sea cannot be measured. So, too, I will make the descendants of My servant David and the Levites who minister to Me innumerable.”

Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand or marked off the heavens with the span of his hand? Who has gathered the dust of the earth in a measure or weighed the mountains in a balance and the hills in the scales?

I ask, then, has God rejected His people? Absolutely not! For I too am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin.God has not rejected His people whom He foreknew. Or don’t you know what the Scripture says in the passage about Elijah— how he pleads with God against Israel?Lord, they have killed Your prophets and torn down Your altars. I am the only one left, and they are trying to take my life!But what was God’s reply to him? I have left 7,000 men for Myself who have not bowed down to Baal.In the same way, then, there is also at the present time a remnant chosen by grace.

And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written: The Liberator will come from Zion; He will turn away godlessness from Jacob.And this will be My covenant with them when I take away their sins.Regarding the gospel, they are enemies for your advantage, but regarding election, they are loved because of the patriarchs,since God’s gracious gifts and calling are irrevocable.

Can you fathom the depths of God or discover the limits of the Almighty?They are higher than the heavens— what can you do? They are deeper than Sheol— what can you know?Their measure is longer than the earth and wider than the sea.

And you, My servant Jacob, do not be afraid— this is the Lord’s declaration— for I will be with you. I will bring destruction on all the nations where I have banished you, but I will not bring destruction on you. I will discipline you with justice, and I will by no means leave you unpunished.

For I will be with you— this is the Lord’s declaration— to save you! I will bring destruction on all the nations where I have scattered you; however, I will not bring destruction on you. I will discipline you justly, and I will by no means leave you unpunished.

For I will declare,“ Faithful love is built up forever; You establish Your faithfulness in the heavens.”

Who has gone up to heaven and come down? Who has gathered the wind in His hands? Who has bound up the waters in a cloak? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is the name of His Son— if you know?
