耶和華曰、如此定例可廢、則以色列族亦可為我所廢、不為邦國、歷世弗易。

倘此定例於我前可廢、則以色列族亦於我前可廢、永不為國、此乃主所言、

“ Only if these decrees vanish from my sight,” declares the Lord,“ will Israel ever cease being a nation before me.”

“ Suppose my orders for creation disappear from my sight,” announces the Lord.“ Only then will the people of Israel stop being a nation in my sight.”

“ If this fixed order departs from before me, declares the Lord, then shall the offspring of Israel cease from being a nation before me forever.”

“ I am as likely to reject my people Israel as I am to abolish the laws of nature!”

If this fixed order departs from before me— this is the LORD’s declaration— only then will Israel’s descendants cease to be a nation before me forever.

“ If this fixed order departs From Me,” declares the Lord,“ Then the descendants of Israel also will cease To be a nation before Me forever.”

“ If those ordinances depart From before Me, says the Lord, Then the seed of Israel shall also cease From being a nation before Me forever.”

If these ordinances depart from before me, saith Jehovah, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.

If this fixed order departs from My presence— this is the Lord’s declaration— then also Israel’s descendants will cease to be a nation before Me forever.

The LORD affirms,“ The descendants of Israel will not cease forever to be a nation in my sight. That could only happen if the fixed ordering of the heavenly lights were to cease to operate before me.”

“ To me this is like the days of Noah, when I swore that the waters of Noah would never again cover the earth. So they despise my people and no longer regard them as a nation.This is what the Lord says:‘ If I have not made my covenant with day and night and established the laws of heaven and earth,then I will reject the descendants of Jacob and David my servant and will not choose one of his sons to rule over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. For I will restore their fortunes and have compassion on them.’” (niv)

Do not be afraid, Jacob my servant, for I am with you,” declares the Lord.“ Though I completely destroy all the nations among which I scatter you, I will not completely destroy you. I will discipline you but only in due measure; I will not let you go entirely unpunished.” (niv)
