Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day,[ and] the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts[ is] his name:

那使太阳白日发光，使星月有定例，黑夜发亮，又搅动大海，使海中波浪砰訇的，万军之耶和华是他的名。他如此说：

耶和華錫日為白晝之光、定月與星為黑夜之光、翻騰滄海、使其波濤漰渤、萬軍之耶和華、乃其名也、

耶和華晝使日華照爍、夜使星月交輝、永定其例、海水澎湃、叱之使靜、厥名萬有之主耶和華。

主使日發光於晝、定月與星發光於夜、使海水洶湧、波浪翻騰、名為萬有之主、主如是云、

This is what the Lord says, he who appoints the sun to shine by day, who decrees the moon and stars to shine by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar— the Lord Almighty is his name:

The Lord speaks. He makes the sun shine by day. He orders the moon and stars to shine at night. He stirs up the ocean. He makes its waves roar. His name is the Lord Who Rules Over All.

Thus says the Lord, who gives the sun for light by day and the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar— the Lord of hosts is his name:

It is the Lord who provides the sun to light the day and the moon and stars to light the night, and who stirs the sea into roaring waves. His name is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, and this is what he says:

“ This is what the LORD says: The one who gives the sun for light by day, the fixed order of moon and stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea and makes its waves roar— the LORD of Armies is his name:

This is what the Lord says, He who gives the sun for light by day And the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night, Who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar— The Lord of armies is His name:

Thus says the Lord, Who gives the sun for a light by day, The ordinances of the moon and the stars for a light by night, Who disturbs the sea, And its waves roar( The Lord of hosts is His name):

Thus saith Jehovah, who giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who stirreth up the sea, so that the waves thereof roar; Jehovah of hosts is his name:

This is what the Lord says: The One who gives the sun for light by day, the fixed order of moon and stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea and makes its waves roar— Yahweh of Hosts is His name:

The LORD has made a promise to Israel. He promises it as the one who fixed the sun to give light by day and the moon and stars to give light by night. He promises it as the one who stirs up the sea so that its waves roll. He promises it as the one who is known as the LORD who rules over all.

Yahweh, who gives the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who stirs up the sea, so that its waves roar; Yahweh of Armies is his name, says:

The portion of Jacob[ is] not like them: for he[ is] the former of all[ things]; and Israel[ is] the rod of his inheritance: The LORD of hosts[ is] his name.

But I[ am] the LORD thy God, that divided the sea, whose waves roared: The LORD of hosts[ is] his name.

To him that made great lights: for his mercy[ endureth] for ever:The sun to rule by day: for his mercy[ endureth] for ever:The moon and stars to rule by night: for his mercy[ endureth] for ever.

And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night:[ he made] the stars also.And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that[ it was] good.

Thou shewest lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the LORD of hosts,[ is] his name,

Their Redeemer[ is] strong; the LORD of hosts[ is] his name: he shall throughly plead their cause, that he may give rest to the land, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.

And his disciples came to[ him], and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars,[ even] all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.[ There is] no speech nor language,[ where] their voice is not heard.Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,Which[ is] as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,[ and] rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.His going forth[ is] from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits’ end.Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.

Thou didst divide the sea by thy strength: thou brakest the heads of the dragons in the waters.

For they call themselves of the holy city, and stay themselves upon the God of Israel; The LORD of hosts[ is] his name.

The day[ is] thine, the night also[ is] thine: thou hast prepared the light and the sun.

That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go[ back] by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry[ land], and the waters were divided.And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry[ ground]: and the waters[ were] a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.

And brake up for it my decreed[ place], and set bars and doors,And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?

His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.It shall be established for ever as the moon, and[ as] a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.

The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves.The LORD on high[ is] mightier than the noise of many waters,[ yea, than] the mighty waves of the sea.

His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and[ men] shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.

[ As] I live, saith the King, whose name[ is] the LORD of hosts, Surely as Tabor[ is] among the mountains, and as Carmel by the sea,[ so] shall he come.

He divided the sea, and caused them to pass through; and he made the waters to stand as an heap.

That led[ them] by the right hand of Moses with his glorious arm, dividing the water before them, to make himself an everlasting name?

For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.

He divideth the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud.

LAMED. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

The sea saw[ it], and fled: Jordan was driven back.The mountains skipped like rams,[ and] the little hills like lambs.What[ ailed] thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan,[ that] thou wast driven back?

Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?

For thy Maker[ is] thine husband; the LORD of hosts[ is] his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.

They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.

He rebuked the Red sea also, and it was dried up: so he led them through the depths, as through the wilderness.

Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand[ for] the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?
