Thus says the Lord, who gives the sun for light by day and the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar— the Lord of hosts is his name:

那使太阳白日发光，使星月有定例，黑夜发亮，又搅动大海，使海中波浪砰訇的，万军之耶和华是他的名。他如此说：

耶和華錫日為白晝之光、定月與星為黑夜之光、翻騰滄海、使其波濤漰渤、萬軍之耶和華、乃其名也、

耶和華晝使日華照爍、夜使星月交輝、永定其例、海水澎湃、叱之使靜、厥名萬有之主耶和華。

主使日發光於晝、定月與星發光於夜、使海水洶湧、波浪翻騰、名為萬有之主、主如是云、

This is what the Lord says, he who appoints the sun to shine by day, who decrees the moon and stars to shine by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar— the Lord Almighty is his name:

The Lord speaks. He makes the sun shine by day. He orders the moon and stars to shine at night. He stirs up the ocean. He makes its waves roar. His name is the Lord Who Rules Over All.

It is the Lord who provides the sun to light the day and the moon and stars to light the night, and who stirs the sea into roaring waves. His name is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, and this is what he says:

“ This is what the LORD says: The one who gives the sun for light by day, the fixed order of moon and stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea and makes its waves roar— the LORD of Armies is his name:

This is what the Lord says, He who gives the sun for light by day And the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night, Who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar— The Lord of armies is His name:

Thus says the Lord, Who gives the sun for a light by day, The ordinances of the moon and the stars for a light by night, Who disturbs the sea, And its waves roar( The Lord of hosts is His name):

Thus saith Jehovah, who giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who stirreth up the sea, so that the waves thereof roar; Jehovah of hosts is his name:

This is what the Lord says: The One who gives the sun for light by day, the fixed order of moon and stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea and makes its waves roar— Yahweh of Hosts is His name:

Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day,[ and] the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts[ is] his name:

The LORD has made a promise to Israel. He promises it as the one who fixed the sun to give light by day and the moon and stars to give light by night. He promises it as the one who stirs up the sea so that its waves roll. He promises it as the one who is known as the LORD who rules over all.

Yahweh, who gives the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who stirs up the sea, so that its waves roar; Yahweh of Armies is his name, says:

Not like these is he who is the portion of Jacob, for he is the one who formed all things, and Israel is the tribe of his inheritance; the Lord of hosts is his name.

I am the Lord your God, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar— the Lord of hosts is his name.

to him who made the great lights, for his steadfast love endures forever;the sun to rule over the day, for his steadfast love endures forever;the moon and stars to rule over the night, for his steadfast love endures forever;

And God said,“ Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years,and let them be lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth.” And it was so.And God made the two great lights— the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night— and the stars.And God set them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth,to rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.

You show steadfast love to thousands, but you repay the guilt of fathers to their children after them, O great and mighty God, whose name is the Lord of hosts,

Their Redeemer is strong; the Lord of hosts is his name. He will surely plead their cause, that he may give rest to the earth, but unrest to the inhabitants of Babylon.

And they went and woke him, saying,“ Save us, Lord; we are perishing.”And he said to them,“ Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?” Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.

And beware lest you raise your eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun and the moon and the stars, all the host of heaven, you be drawn away and bow down to them and serve them, things that the Lord your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven.

The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard.Their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun,which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy.Its rising is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the end of them, and there is nothing hidden from its heat.

For he commanded and raised the stormy wind, which lifted up the waves of the sea.They mounted up to heaven; they went down to the depths; their courage melted away in their evil plight;they reeled and staggered like drunken men and were at their wits’ end.Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress.He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed.

You divided the sea by your might; you broke the heads of the sea monsters on the waters.

For they call themselves after the holy city, and stay themselves on the God of Israel; the Lord of hosts is his name.

Yours is the day, yours also the night; you have established the heavenly lights and the sun.

so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the Lord drove the sea back by a strong east wind all night and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.And the people of Israel went into the midst of the sea on dry ground, the waters being a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.

and prescribed limits for it and set bars and doors,and said,‘ Thus far shall you come, and no farther, and here shall your proud waves be stayed’?

His offspring shall endure forever, his throne as long as the sun before me.Like the moon it shall be established forever, a faithful witness in the skies.” Selah

The floods have lifted up, O Lord, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their roaring.Mightier than the thunders of many waters, mightier than the waves of the sea, the Lord on high is mighty!

May his name endure forever, his fame continue as long as the sun! May people be blessed in him, all nations call him blessed!

“ As I live, declares the King, whose name is the Lord of hosts, like Tabor among the mountains and like Carmel by the sea, shall one come.

He divided the sea and let them pass through it, and made the waters stand like a heap.

who caused his glorious arm to go at the right hand of Moses, who divided the waters before them to make for himself an everlasting name,

Not like these is he who is the portion of Jacob, for he is the one who formed all things, and Israel is the tribe of his inheritance; the Lord of hosts is his name.

For I said,“ Steadfast love will be built up forever; in the heavens you will establish your faithfulness.”

By his power he stilled the sea; by his understanding he shattered Rahab.

[ Lamedh] Forever, O Lord, your word is firmly fixed in the heavens.

The sea looked and fled; Jordan turned back.The mountains skipped like rams, the hills like lambs.What ails you, O sea, that you flee? O Jordan, that you turn back?

Do you know the ordinances of the heavens? Can you establish their rule on the earth?

For your Maker is your husband, the Lord of hosts is his name; and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer, the God of the whole earth he is called.

May they fear you while the sun endures, and as long as the moon, throughout all generations!

He rebuked the Red Sea, and it became dry, and he led them through the deep as through a desert.

Do you not fear me? declares the Lord. Do you not tremble before me? I placed the sand as the boundary for the sea, a perpetual barrier that it cannot pass; though the waves toss, they cannot prevail; though they roar, they cannot pass over it.
