“ This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time,” declares the Lord.“ I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

顯然，你們是從基督而來的一封信，是我們工作的成果。這信不是用筆墨寫成的，乃是藉著永活上帝的靈寫成的；不是寫在石版上的，而是刻在心版上的。

「主說，那些日子以後，我將與他們立這樣的約，我要把我的律例放在他們心中，寫在他們腦中。

我必賜給他們一顆專一的心，將新靈放在他們裡面，除去他們的石心，賜給他們肉心，使他們恪守我的律例，謹遵我的典章。他們將做我的子民，我將做他們的上帝。

主又說，那些日子以後，我將與以色列家立這樣的約，我要把我的律法放在他們腦中，寫在他們心上。我要作他們的上帝，他們要作我的子民。

我要賜給他們一顆心，使他們認識我是耶和華。他們要做我的子民，我要做他們的上帝，因為他們必全心全意地歸向我。』

我要與他們立永遠的約，永遠恩待他們，使他們對我心存敬畏，不再背棄我。

我的上帝啊，我樂意遵行你的旨意，我銘記你的律法。」

我要在你們身上灑清水潔淨你們，洗淨你們所有的污穢，除掉你們心中一切的偶像。我要賜你們一顆新心，把新的靈放在你們裡面。我要除去你們的石心，賜給你們一顆肉心。我要把我的靈放在你們裡面，使你們恪守我的律例，謹遵我的典章。

我要住在他們中間。我要做他們的上帝，他們要做我的子民。

你們的上帝耶和華要潔淨你們和你們子孫的心，好讓你們全心全意地愛祂，並且存活。

他們要做我的子民，我要做他們的上帝。

我聽見從寶座中傳來響亮的聲音說：「看啊！上帝的居所設立在人間，祂要與人同住。他們要成為祂的子民，上帝要親自與他們同在，作他們的上帝。

我必使這三分之一的人受到火一般的考驗；我必像熬煉銀子一樣熬煉他們，像試煉金子一樣試煉他們。他們必呼求我的名，我必回應他們。我必說，『這是我的子民。』他們必說，『耶和華是我們的上帝。』」

我要和你並你的子子孫孫立永恆的約，我要做你和你子孫的上帝。我要把你現在寄居的整個迦南賜給你和你的後裔永遠作產業，我也必做他們的上帝。」

銘記上帝的律法，從不失腳。

按著我裡面的意思，我喜愛上帝的律。

他們要做我的子民，我要做他們的上帝。」

因為賜人生命之聖靈的律已經在基督耶穌裡使我獲得自由，脫離了罪與死的律。律法因為人性軟弱而無法成就的事，上帝親自成就了。祂差遣自己的兒子成為和罪人一樣有血有肉的人，作了贖罪祭，廢掉了罪的權勢，使律法公義的要求實現在我們這些不隨從罪惡本性，只隨從聖靈而活的人身上。隨從罪惡本性的人顧念罪惡本性的事，但隨從聖靈的人顧念聖靈的事。顧念罪惡本性的人結局是死亡，但顧念聖靈的人卻有生命和平安。因為顧念罪惡本性的人與上帝為敵，不服從上帝的律法，也無力服從。所以受罪惡本性控制的人無法令上帝喜悅。

這最終帶來死亡、刻在石版上的律法條文的事工尚且有榮耀，甚至使摩西的臉上發出榮光，儘管很快就消逝了，以色列人仍然無法定睛看他，那麼聖靈的事工豈不更有榮耀嗎？

認識公義、銘記我訓誨的人啊，聽我說。你們不要害怕人的辱罵，也不要畏懼他們的譭謗。

得勝者必承受這一切福分，我要作他的上帝，他要作我的兒子。

耶和華說：「那時，我要做以色列各宗族的上帝，他們必做我的子民。

但聖靈所結的果子是仁愛、喜樂、和平、忍耐、恩慈、良善、信實、溫柔、節制。沒有律法會禁止這些事。

耶穌說：「不要拉著我，我還沒有升到父那裡。你先去找我的眾弟兄，告訴他們我要升天去見我的父，也是你們的父；去見我的上帝，也是你們的上帝。」
