显然，你们是从基督而来的一封信，是我们工作的成果。这信不是用笔墨写成的，乃是借着永活上帝的灵写成的；不是写在石版上的，而是刻在心版上的。

“主说，那些日子以后，我将与他们立这样的约，我要把我的律例放在他们心中，写在他们脑中。

我必赐给他们一颗专一的心，将新灵放在他们里面，除去他们的石心，赐给他们肉心，使他们恪守我的律例，谨遵我的典章。他们将做我的子民，我将做他们的上帝。

主又说，那些日子以后，我将与以色列家立这样的约，我要把我的律法放在他们脑中，写在他们心上。我要做他们的上帝，他们要做我的子民。

我要赐给他们一颗心，使他们认识我是耶和华。他们要做我的子民，我要做他们的上帝，因为他们必全心全意地归向我。’

我要与他们立永远的约，永远恩待他们，使他们对我心存敬畏，不再背弃我。

我的上帝啊，我乐意遵行你的旨意，我铭记你的律法。”

我要在你们身上洒清水洁净你们，洗净你们所有的污秽，除掉你们心中一切的偶像。我要赐你们一颗新心，把新的灵放在你们里面。我要除去你们的石心，赐给你们一颗肉心。我要把我的灵放在你们里面，使你们恪守我的律例，谨遵我的典章。

我要住在他们中间。我要做他们的上帝，他们要做我的子民。

你们的上帝耶和华要洁净你们和你们子孙的心，好让你们全心全意地爱祂，并且存活。

他们要做我的子民，我要做他们的上帝。

我听见从宝座中传来响亮的声音说：“看啊！上帝的居所设立在人间，祂要与人同住。他们要成为祂的子民，上帝要亲自与他们同在，做他们的上帝。

我必使这三分之一的人受到火一般的考验；我必像熬炼银子一样熬炼他们，像试炼金子一样试炼他们。他们必呼求我的名，我必回应他们。我必说，‘这是我的子民。’他们必说，‘耶和华是我们的上帝。’”

我要和你并你的子子孙孙立永恒的约，我要做你和你子孙的上帝。我要把你现在寄居的整个迦南赐给你和你的后裔永远作产业，我也必做他们的上帝。”

铭记上帝的律法，从不失脚。

按着我里面的意思，我喜爱上帝的律。

他们要做我的子民，我要做他们的上帝。”

因为赐人生命之圣灵的律已经在基督耶稣里使我获得自由，脱离了罪与死的律。律法因为人性软弱而无法成就的事，上帝亲自成就了。祂差遣自己的儿子成为和罪人一样有血有肉的人，作了赎罪祭，废掉了罪的权势，使律法公义的要求实现在我们这些不随从罪恶本性，只随从圣灵而活的人身上。随从罪恶本性的人顾念罪恶本性的事，但随从圣灵的人顾念圣灵的事。顾念罪恶本性的人结局是死亡，但顾念圣灵的人却有生命和平安。因为顾念罪恶本性的人与上帝为敌，不服从上帝的律法，也无力服从。所以受罪恶本性控制的人无法令上帝喜悦。

这最终带来死亡、刻在石版上的律法条文的事工尚且有荣耀，甚至使摩西的脸上发出荣光，尽管很快就消逝了，以色列人仍然无法定睛看他，那么圣灵的事工岂不更有荣耀吗？

认识公义、铭记我训诲的人啊，听我说。你们不要害怕人的辱骂，也不要畏惧他们的毁谤。

得胜者必承受这一切福分，我要做他的上帝，他要做我的儿子。

耶和华说：“那时，我要做以色列各宗族的上帝，他们必做我的子民。

但圣灵所结的果子是仁爱、喜乐、和平、忍耐、恩慈、良善、信实、温柔、节制。没有律法会禁止这些事。

耶稣说：“不要拉着我，我还没有升到父那里。你先去找我的众弟兄，告诉他们我要升天去见我的父，也是你们的父；去见我的上帝，也是你们的上帝。”
