This is what the Lord says:“ The people who survived the sword Found grace in the wilderness— Israel, when it went to find its rest.”

耶和华如此说：“脱离刀剑的就是以色列人。我使他享安息的时候，他曾在旷野蒙恩。

耶和华如此说：“从刀剑生还的百姓在旷野蒙恩；以色列寻找安歇之处。”

耶和华如此说：“从刀剑生还的百姓在旷野蒙恩；以色列寻找安歇之处。”

“逃脱刀兵之灾的以色列人必在旷野蒙恩，找到安息之所。这是耶和华说的。”

耶和华这样说：“在刀剑下幸存的人民，在旷野蒙受了恩宠；以色列来到她安息之处。”

耶和華如此說：脫離刀劍的就是以色列人。我使他享安息的時候，他曾在曠野蒙恩。

永恆主這麼說：『刀劍屠殺後殘存的人民、以色列、去尋求安身之處，在曠野居然蒙受恩眷；

耶和華曰、以色列免於鋒刃之遺民、在我往錫綏安之際、乃蒙恩寵於曠野、

耶和華又曰、以色列族免鋒刃、遜於荒、沾我鴻恩、歸於福地、

主如是云、昔以色列民得脫鋒刃、適於曠野、蒙我恩寵、我與偕行、使之安息、

This is what the Lord says:“ The people who survive the sword will find favor in the wilderness; I will come to give rest to Israel.”

The Lord says,“ Some of my people will live through everything their enemies do to them. They will find help in the desert. I will come to give peace and rest to Israel.”

Thus says the Lord:“ The people who survived the sword found grace in the wilderness; when Israel sought for rest,

This is what the Lord says:“ Those who survive the coming destruction will find blessings even in the barren land, for I will give rest to the people of Israel.”

This is what the LORD says: The people who survived the sword found favor in the wilderness. When Israel went to find rest,

Thus says the Lord:“ The people who survived the sword Found grace in the wilderness— Israel, when I went to give him rest.”

Thus saith Jehovah, The people that were left of the sword found favor in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.

This is what the Lord says: They found favor in the wilderness— the people who survived the sword. When Israel went to find rest,

Thus saith the LORD, The people[ which were] left of the sword found grace in the wilderness;[ even] Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.

The LORD says,“ The people of Israel who survived death at the hands of the enemy will find favor in the wilderness as they journey to find rest for themselves.

Yahweh says,“ The people who survive the sword found favor in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.”

who goes before you on your way, to seek out a place for you to make camp, in the fire by night to show you the way by which you should go, and in the cloud by day.

Therefore I swore in My anger, They certainly shall not enter My rest.”

“ Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

I will make mention of the mercies of the Lord, and the praises of the Lord, According to all that the Lord has granted us, And the great goodness toward the house of Israel, Which He has granted them according to His compassion And according to the abundance of His mercies.For He said,“ Certainly they are My people, Sons who will not deal falsely.” So He became their Savior.In all their distress He was distressed, And the angel of His presence saved them; In His love and in His mercy He redeemed them, And He lifted them and carried them all the days of old.But they rebelled And grieved His Holy Spirit; Therefore He turned Himself to become their enemy, He fought against them.Then His people remembered the days of old, of Moses. Where is He who brought them up out of the sea with the shepherds of His flock? Where is He who put His Holy Spirit in the midst of them,Who caused His glorious arm to go at the right hand of Moses, Who divided the waters before them to make for Himself an everlasting name,Who led them through the depths? Like the horse in the wilderness, they did not stumble;Like the cattle which go down into the valley, The Spirit of the Lord gave them rest. So You led Your people, To make for Yourself a glorious name.

So they moved on from the mountain of the Lord three days’ journey, with the ark of the covenant of the Lord going on in front of them for the three days, to seek out a resting place for them.

For the Lord your God has blessed you in all that you have done; He has known your wandering through this great wilderness. These forty years the Lord your God has been with you; you have not lacked anything.” ’

And He said,“ My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest.”

To Him who led His people through the wilderness, For His faithfulness is everlasting;To Him who struck great kings, For His faithfulness is everlasting,And brought death to mighty kings, For His faithfulness is everlasting:Sihon, king of the Amorites, For His faithfulness is everlasting,And Og, king of Bashan, For His faithfulness is everlasting,And gave their land as an inheritance, For His faithfulness is everlasting,An inheritance to His servant Israel, For His faithfulness is everlasting.Who remembered us in our lowliness, For His faithfulness is everlasting,And has rescued us from our enemies, For His faithfulness is everlasting;

Then He brought the Israelites out with silver and gold, And among His tribes there was not one who stumbled.Egypt was glad when they departed, For the dread of them had fallen upon the Egyptians.He spread out a cloud as a covering, And fire to illumine by night.They asked, and He brought quail, And satisfied them with the bread of heaven.He opened the rock and water flowed out; It ran in the dry places like a river.For He remembered His holy word With His servant Abraham;And He led out His people with joy, His chosen ones with a joyful shout.

For if Joshua had given them rest, He would not have spoken of another day after that.Consequently, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God.

The enemy said,‘ I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoils; I shall be satisfied against them; I will draw my sword, my hand will destroy them.’You blew with Your wind, the sea covered them; They sank like lead in the mighty waters.

The Lord your God, who goes before you, will Himself fight for you, just as He did for you in Egypt before your eyes,

Then He led them with the cloud by day And all the night with a light of fire.He split the rocks in the wilderness And gave them plenty to drink like the ocean depths.He brought forth streams from the rock And made waters run down like rivers.

Now it came about in the course of those many days that the king of Egypt died. And the sons of Israel groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry for help because of their bondage ascended to God.

for you have not as yet come to the resting place and the inheritance which the Lord your God is giving you.

But I acted for the sake of My name, so that it would not be defiled before the eyes of the nations, before whose eyes I had brought them out.Also I swore to them in the wilderness that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all the lands,because they rejected My ordinances, and as for My statutes, they did not walk in them; they also profaned My Sabbaths, because their heart continually followed their idols.Yet My eye spared them rather than destroying them, and I did not bring about their annihilation in the wilderness.

In the wilderness it was He who fed you manna which your fathers did not know, in order to humble you and in order to put you to the test, to do good for you in the end.

So the Lord said,“ I have forgiven them in accordance with your word;

And you shall remember all the way which the Lord your God has led you in the wilderness these forty years, in order to humble you, putting you to the test, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not.And He humbled you and let you go hungry, and fed you with the manna which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, in order to make you understand that man shall not live on bread alone, but man shall live on everything that comes out of the mouth of the Lord.

Now the sons of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand men on foot, aside from children.

“ Go and proclaim in the ears of Jerusalem, saying,‘ This is what the Lord says:“ I remember regarding you the devotion of your youth, Your love when you were a bride, Your following after Me in the wilderness, Through a land not sown.

Then Amalek came and fought against Israel at Rephidim.So Moses said to Joshua,“ Choose men for us and go out, fight against Amalek. Tomorrow I will station myself on the top of the hill with the staff of God in my hand.”Joshua did just as Moses told him, and fought against Amalek; and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.So it came about, when Moses held his hand up, that Israel prevailed; but when he let his hand down, Amalek prevailed.And Moses’ hands were heavy. So they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it; and Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side and one on the other. So his hands were steady until the sun set.And Joshua defeated Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.

So the Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and he chased after the sons of Israel as the sons of Israel were going out boldly.Then the Egyptians chased after them with all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, his horsemen and his army, and they overtook them camping by the sea, beside Pi hahiroth, in front of Baal zephon.As Pharaoh approached, the sons of Israel looked, and behold, the Egyptians were coming after them, and they became very frightened; so the sons of Israel cried out to the Lord.Then they said to Moses,“ Is it because there were no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you dealt with us in this way, bringing us out of Egypt?Is this not the word that we spoke to you in Egypt, saying,‘ Leave us alone so that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness!”

Then Pharaoh commanded all his people, saying,“ Every son who is born, you are to throw into the Nile, but every daughter, you are to keep alive.”

And they said to them,“ May the Lord look upon you and judge you, because you have made us repulsive in Pharaoh’s sight and in the sight of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to kill us!”

Yet He commanded the clouds above And opened the doors of heaven;He rained down manna upon them to eat, And gave them food from heaven.Man ate the bread of angels; He sent them food in abundance.He made the east wind blow in the sky And by His power He directed the south wind.When He rained meat upon them like the dust, Even winged fowl like the sand of the seas,He let them fall in the midst of their camp, All around their dwellings.So they ate and were well filled, And He satisfied their longing.

And with a pillar of cloud You led them by day, And with a pillar of fire by night To light for them the way In which they were to go.Then You came down on Mount Sinai, And spoke with them from heaven; You gave them just ordinances and true laws, Good statutes and commandments.So You made known to them Your holy Sabbath, And gave them commandments, statutes, and law, Through Your servant Moses.You provided bread from heaven for them for their hunger, You brought out water from a rock for them for their thirst, And You told them to enter in order to take possession of The land which You swore to give them.

But He led His own people out like sheep, And guided them in the wilderness like a flock;

and he said,“ When you are helping the Hebrew women to give birth and see them upon the birthstool, if it is a son, then you shall put him to death; but if it is a daughter, then she shall live.”
