Then young women will dance and be glad, young men and old as well. I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow.

蒙爾之祐、變哀哭而踴躍、易齊衰而吉服兮、

凡在郇邑、哀哭者使不蒙塵、而冠花冠、不喪膽、不殷憂、懽然頌美、若沐以膏油、若被以麗服、譬彼茂林、耶和華所植、以彰其榮、

蓋耶和華所救之人、必旋歸郇邑、永獲欣喜、懽忭無窮、謳歌靡已、既憂戚之全消、亦欷歔之永息。

耶和華又曰、我必復建以色列國、譬彼處女、執鼗相從、舞蹈而出、忻喜懽忭、

耶路撒冷邑垣、功既告成、利未人散處於四方者、民導之以至、歡然欣喜、守告成之節、謳歌、敲鈸、鳴琴、鼓瑟、頌讚上帝。

以猶大人得免於敵、轉憂為喜、轉戚為愉、當於是日、設宴喜樂、饋嘉肴、賙貧乏。

如是爾今懷憂、我復見爾、則爾心喜、且爾之喜、無人禁之、

當播鼗操瑟、以舞以蹈、以咏以吟、頌讚其名兮。

四五七十月間、猶大家禁食之時、將為欣喜歡忭之節期、惟爾所專務者、真實和平而已、我萬有之主耶和華已言之矣。

日不下墜、月不晦冥、蓋我耶和華恆燭照爾、煩憂頓釋。

蓋耶和華感亞述王心、使助建以色列族上帝之殿、故歡然守無酵節、凡歷七日。

是日耶路撒冷民欣欣然、多獻祭品、蓋上帝使民及妻孥、喜樂不勝、兆姓歡聲、聞於遠邇。

蓋耶和華所救之人、旋歸郇邑、永獲欣喜、歡忭無窮、謳歌靡已、既憂戚之全消、亦欷歔之永息。

見我所造、爾恆悅懌、我建耶路撒冷、以為福地、使民懽忭靡涯。我為耶路撒冷邑民、不勝喜樂、使哀哭之聲、不聞於耳。

我耶和華將撫綏郇邑、今雖荒蕪若曠野、後復振興、與我園囿埃田相埒、使其人欣然歡忭、載咏詩篇、發聲頌讚。

萬有之主耶和華又曰、有齒之士、年高之婦、將坐於耶路撒冷逵衢、因其年老、攜杖以行、遍諸衢市、必有童稚、舞蹈不已、
