男女老幼、靡不踴躍、隨在懽欣、蓋我使人轉憂為喜、破愁為樂、後加慰藉。

當是時處女將舞蹈歡欣、壯男老叟亦若是、蓋我使其憂變為喜、又加慰藉、使其愁煩之後得歡樂、

Then young women will dance and be glad, young men and old as well. I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow.

你把我的哀哭變成了舞步，為我脫下悲傷的麻衣，披上喜樂的外袍，

以華冠取代錫安哀傷者頭上的灰塵，以喜樂的膏油取代他們的哀傷，以頌讚的外袍取代他們的沮喪。他們將被稱為耶和華所栽種的公義橡樹，以彰顯祂的榮耀。

耶和華所救贖的人必回來，必歡唱著回到錫安，得到永遠的福樂。他們將歡喜快樂，再沒有憂愁和歎息。

以色列人啊，我要重建你們的家園，你們要再次拿起鈴鼓與歡樂的人一同跳舞。

在耶路撒冷的城牆典禮之際，民眾把各處的利未人請到耶路撒冷，來稱頌、歌唱、敲鈸、鼓瑟、彈琴，歡慶典禮。

設宴歡慶，互贈禮物，賙濟窮人，以紀念猶太人在此月此日得以脫離仇敵，化憂為樂，轉悲為喜。

同樣，現在你們有憂愁，但到我再見你們的時候，你們的心必歡喜，而且這份喜樂是誰也奪不去的。

願他們跳舞讚美祂的名，擊鼓彈琴歌頌祂。

「萬軍之耶和華說，『四月、五月、七月、十月的禁食必成為猶大家歡喜快樂的日子和幸福的節期。因此，你們要喜愛真理與和平。

你的太陽不再落下，你的月亮也不再消失，因為耶和華要作你永遠的光，你悲哀的日子將要結束。

他們歡歡喜喜地守除酵節七天，因為耶和華使亞述王對他們心存善意，幫助他們重建以色列上帝的殿。

那天，眾人獻上許多祭物，滿心歡喜，因為上帝賜給他們極大的喜樂，連婦孺也都歡喜，以致耶路撒冷的歡聲遠處可聞。

耶和華救贖的子民必歡唱著回到錫安，洋溢著永遠的快樂。他們必歡喜快樂，憂愁和歎息都消失無蹤。

你們要因我創造的一切而永遠歡喜快樂。看啊，我要創造一個充滿喜樂的耶路撒冷，其中的居民個個歡欣。我必因耶路撒冷而歡喜，因我的子民而快樂。城裡再聽不見哭泣和哀號聲。

我必安慰錫安和錫安所有的荒場，使曠野像伊甸園，使沙漠變成我的園囿，裡面有歡喜、快樂、感謝和歌頌的聲音。

必再次有年紀老邁、手拿拐杖的男女坐在耶路撒冷的街上。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。街上必到處都是玩耍的男女孩童。』
