當是時處女將舞蹈歡欣、壯男老叟亦若是、蓋我使其憂變為喜、又加慰藉、使其愁煩之後得歡樂、

Then young women will dance and be glad, young men and old as well. I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow.

你把我的哀哭变成了舞步，为我脱下悲伤的麻衣，披上喜乐的外袍，

以华冠取代锡安哀伤者头上的灰尘，以喜乐的膏油取代他们的哀伤，以颂赞的外袍取代他们的沮丧。他们将被称为耶和华所栽种的公义橡树，以彰显祂的荣耀。

耶和华所救赎的人必回来，必欢唱着回到锡安，得到永远的福乐。他们将欢喜快乐，再没有忧愁和叹息。

以色列人啊，我要重建你们的家园，你们要再次拿起铃鼓与欢乐的人一同跳舞。

在耶路撒冷的城墙典礼之际，民众把各处的利未人请到耶路撒冷，来称颂、歌唱、敲钹、鼓瑟、弹琴，欢庆典礼。

设宴欢庆，互赠礼物，周济穷人，以纪念犹太人在此月此日得以脱离仇敌，化忧为乐，转悲为喜。

同样，现在你们有忧愁，但到我再见你们的时候，你们的心必欢喜，而且这份喜乐是谁也夺不去的。

愿他们跳舞赞美祂的名，击鼓弹琴歌颂祂。

“万军之耶和华说，‘四月、五月、七月、十月的禁食必成为犹大家欢喜快乐的日子和幸福的节期。因此，你们要喜爱真理与和平。

你的太阳不再落下，你的月亮也不再消失，因为耶和华要作你永远的光，你悲哀的日子将要结束。

他们欢欢喜喜地守除酵节七天，因为耶和华使亚述王对他们心存善意，帮助他们重建以色列上帝的殿。

那天，众人献上许多祭物，满心欢喜，因为上帝赐给他们极大的喜乐，连妇孺也都欢喜，以致耶路撒冷的欢声远处可闻。

耶和华救赎的子民必欢唱着回到锡安，洋溢着永远的快乐。他们必欢喜快乐，忧愁和叹息都消失无踪。

你们要因我创造的一切而永远欢喜快乐。看啊，我要创造一个充满喜乐的耶路撒冷，其中的居民个个欢欣。我必因耶路撒冷而欢喜，因我的子民而快乐。城里再听不见哭泣和哀号声。

我必安慰锡安和锡安所有的荒场，使旷野像伊甸园，使沙漠变成我的园囿，里面有欢喜、快乐、感谢和歌颂的声音。

必再次有年纪老迈、手拿拐杖的男女坐在耶路撒冷的街上。这是万军之耶和华说的。街上必到处都是玩耍的男女孩童。’
