尼尼微被洗劫一空！被洗劫一空！一片荒凉！人们胆战心惊，双膝哆嗦，浑身发抖，面色苍白。

我听见好像妇人分娩时的喊叫声，好像妇人生头胎时的痛苦呻吟。那是锡安城的喊叫声，她在喘息，伸出双手说：“噢！我有祸了，我要死在杀戮者手上了。”

临产的阵痛要临到他，但他是毫无智慧的孩子，分娩之时却不离开母腹。

我们听到这风声，手脚发软，痛苦万分，如分娩的妇人。

住在黎巴嫩、安居在香柏木宫殿中的人啊，当妇人分娩般的痛苦临到你们的时候，你们将怎样呻吟呢！”

当人们正在说一切平安稳妥的时候，灾祸会像产痛临到孕妇一样突然临到他们，令他们无法逃脱。

妇人分娩时都会痛苦不已，但孩子生下来后，她就会因为这世界添了一个新生命而充满欢乐，忘掉了生产的痛苦。同样，现在你们有忧愁，但到我再见你们的时候，你们的心必欢喜，而且这份喜乐是谁也夺不去的。

哀号吧！耶和华的日子近了，全能者施行毁灭的时候到了。人们都必双手发软，胆战心惊，惊恐万状，痛苦不堪如同分娩的妇人。他们必面面相觑，羞愧得面如火烧。看啊，耶和华的日子来临了，是充满愤恨和烈怒的残酷之日，要使大地荒凉，毁灭地上的罪人。

因此，关于雅各家，救赎亚伯拉罕的耶和华说：“雅各的子孙必不再羞愧，脸上再无惧色。

巴比伦王闻风丧胆，四肢发软，像分娩的妇人一样痛苦不堪。

现在你为何大声哭喊？是因为你没有王吗？难道你的谋士都死了吗，以致你像分娩的妇人一样痛苦不堪？锡安的百姓啊，你们要像分娩的妇人一样辗转呻吟，因为你们现在要离开这城，住在荒野，被掳到巴比伦。在那里，你们将得到解救；在那里，耶和华必从敌人手中救赎你们。

脸色骤变，惊恐万分，两腿发软，双膝颤抖。

大马士革丧失勇气，转身逃命。她像分娩的妇人一样惊恐不安，充满痛苦和忧愁。

耶和华让你结交的盟友来统治你，你还有什么话可说？难怪你痛苦不堪，就像分娩的妇人。
