For thus saith the LORD; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.

耶和华如此说：“我们听见声音，是战抖惧怕而不平安的声音。

耶和华说：“我听见惊恐不安的喊叫声。

“耶和华这样说：‘我听见了战栗喊叫的声音，一片恐慌，没有平安。

耶和華如此說：我們聽見聲音，是戰抖懼怕而不平安的聲音。

耶和華如此說：「我們聽見顫抖的聲音，令人懼怕，沒有平安。

耶和華如此說：「我們聽見顫抖的聲音，令人懼怕，沒有平安。

耶和華說：「我聽見驚恐不安的喊叫聲。

“耶和華這樣說：‘我聽見了戰慄喊叫的聲音，一片恐慌，沒有平安。

『永恆主這麼說：我們聽見了令人發抖的聲音；只有恐懼，沒有平安。

耶和華曰、我聞戰慄驚恐之聲、非平康之聲、

惟聞戰慄恐懼之聲、不聞歡樂之聲。

主如是云、惟聞戰慄之聲、各處驚惶、毫無平康、

“ This is what the Lord says:“‘ Cries of fear are heard— terror, not peace.

“ I am the Lord. I say,“‘ Cries of fear are heard. There is terror. There isn’t any peace.

“ Thus says the Lord: We have heard a cry of panic, of terror, and no peace.

This is what the Lord says:“ I hear cries of fear; there is terror and no peace.

This is what the LORD says: We have heard a cry of terror, of dread— there is no peace.

“ For this is what the Lord says:‘ I have heard a sound of terror, Of fear, and there is no peace.

“ For thus says the Lord:‘ We have heard a voice of trembling, Of fear, and not of peace.

For thus saith Jehovah: We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.

Yes, this is what the Lord says: We have heard a cry of terror, of dread— there is no peace.

Yes, here is what he says:“ You hear cries of panic and of terror; there is no peace in sight.

For Yahweh says:“ We have heard a voice of trembling; a voice of fear, and not of peace.

Therefore the LORD, the God of hosts, the Lord, saith thus; Wailing[ shall be] in all streets; and they shall say in all the highways, Alas! alas! and they shall call the husbandman to mourning, and such as are skilful of lamentation to wailing.And in all vineyards[ shall be] wailing: for I will pass through thee, saith the LORD.Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end[ is] it for you? the day of the LORD[ is] darkness, and not light.

And in that day they shall roar against them like the roaring of the sea: and if[ one] look unto the land, behold darkness[ and] sorrow, and the light is darkened in the heavens thereof.

Wherefore have I seen them dismayed[ and] turned away back? and their mighty ones are beaten down, and are fled apace, and look not back:[ for] fear[ was] round about, saith the LORD.

For a voice declareth from Dan, and publisheth affliction from mount Ephraim.Make ye mention to the nations; behold, publish against Jerusalem,[ that] watchers come from a far country, and give out their voice against the cities of Judah.As keepers of a field, are they against her round about; because she hath been rebellious against me, saith the LORD.Thy way and thy doings have procured these[ things] unto thee; this[ is] thy wickedness, because it is bitter, because it reacheth unto thine heart.My bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart maketh a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace, because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war.Destruction upon destruction is cried; for the whole land is spoiled: suddenly are my tents spoiled,[ and] my curtains in a moment.

And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD,[ that there shall be] the noise of a cry from the fish gate, and an howling from the second, and a great crashing from the hills.Howl, ye inhabitants of Maktesh, for all the merchant people are cut down; all they that bear silver are cut off.

For a voice of wailing is heard out of Zion, How are we spoiled! we are greatly confounded, because we have forsaken the land, because our dwellings have cast[ us] out.

For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed[ are] the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck.Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us.

Behold the voice of the cry of the daughter of my people because of them that dwell in a far country:[ Is] not the LORD in Zion?[ is] not her king in her? Why have they provoked me to anger with their graven images,[ and] with strange vanities?

We roar all like bears, and mourn sore like doves: we look for judgment, but[ there is] none; for salvation,[ but] it is far off from us.

A voice of the cry of the shepherds, and an howling of the principal of the flock,[ shall be heard]: for the LORD hath spoiled their pasture.

And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things[ which belong] unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

Thus saith the LORD; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation,[ and] bitter weeping; Rahel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they[ were] not.Thus saith the LORD; Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears: for thy work shall be rewarded, saith the LORD; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy.

They shall lay hold on bow and spear; they[ are] cruel, and have no mercy; their voice roareth like the sea; and they ride upon horses, set in array as men for war against thee, O daughter of Zion.We have heard the fame thereof: our hands wax feeble: anguish hath taken hold of us,[ and] pain, as of a woman in travail.Go not forth into the field, nor walk by the way; for the sword of the enemy[ and] fear[ is] on every side.

And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning of an only[ son], and the end thereof as a bitter day.
