當約西亞王時、耶和華諭我曰、悖逆之以色列、其所為者、汝見之乎、彼陟諸高岡、詣諸綠樹、行淫於彼、

當約西亞王年間、耶和華告耶利米曰、以色列族有若淫婦、爾豈不見乎、彼背我、陟高巒、入茂林、狥欲而行。

During the reign of King Josiah, the Lord said to me,“ Have you seen what faithless Israel has done? She has gone up on every high hill and under every spreading tree and has committed adultery there.

During the time Josiah was king, the Lord spoke to me. He said,“ Have you seen what the people of Israel have done? They have not been faithful to me. They have committed adultery with other gods. They worshiped them on every high hill and under every green tree.

The Lord said to me in the days of King Josiah:“ Have you seen what she did, that faithless one, Israel, how she went up on every high hill and under every green tree, and there played the whore?

During the reign of King Josiah, the Lord said to me,“ Have you seen what fickle Israel has done? Like a wife who commits adultery, Israel has worshiped other gods on every hill and under every green tree.

In the days of King Josiah the LORD asked me,“ Have you seen what unfaithful Israel has done? She has ascended every high hill and gone under every green tree to prostitute herself there.

Then the Lord said to me in the days of King Josiah,“ Have you seen what faithless Israel did? She went up on every high hill and under every leafy tree, and she prostituted herself there.

The Lord said also to me in the days of Josiah the king:“ Have you seen what backsliding Israel has done? She has gone up on every high mountain and under every green tree, and there played the harlot.

Moreover Jehovah said unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel hath done? she is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there hath played the harlot.

In the days of King Josiah the Lord asked me,“ Have you seen what unfaithful Israel has done? She has ascended every high hill and gone under every green tree to prostitute herself there.

The LORD said also unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen[ that] which backsliding Israel hath done? she is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there hath played the harlot.

When Josiah was king of Judah, the LORD said to me,“ Jeremiah, you have no doubt seen what wayward Israel has done. You have seen how she went up to every high hill and under every green tree to give herself like a prostitute to other gods.

Moreover, Yahweh said to me in the days of Josiah the king,“ Have you seen that which backsliding Israel has done? She has gone up on every high mountain and under every green tree, and has played the prostitute there.

在各個街頭建造土墩，在各廣場上築高臺；但你藐視行淫的賞金，又不像妓女。

因為他們在各高岡上，各青翠樹下築丘壇，立柱像和亞舍拉。

我領他們到我起誓應許賜給他們的地，他們看見各高岡、各茂密的樹，就在那裏獻祭，獻上惹我發怒的供物，也在那裏焚燒馨香的祭，獻澆酒祭。

他們卻不聽從，也不側耳而聽，竟隨從自己的計謀和頑梗的惡心去行，不進反退。

他們的兒女思念他們在高岡上、青翠樹旁的祭壇和亞舍拉。

又為自己建造土墩，在各廣場上築起高臺。你在各個街頭建造高臺，使你的美貌變為可憎；又向所有過路的人招手，多行淫亂。

我看見背道的以色列行淫，我為這緣故給她休書休了她，她奸詐的妹妹猶大還不懼怕，也去行淫。

「她妹妹阿荷利巴雖然看見了，卻還是縱慾，比姊姊更加腐敗，行淫亂比姊姊更甚。

你自己的惡必懲治你，你背道的事必責罰你。由此可知可見，你離棄耶和華－你的上帝，不存敬畏我的心，實為惡事，為苦事；這是萬軍之主耶和華說的。」「你在古時折斷你的軛，解開你的繩索，說：『我必不事奉耶和華。』你在各高岡上、各青翠的樹下屈身行淫。

耶和華對我說：「背道的以色列比奸詐的猶大還顯為義。你去向北方宣告這些話，說：『背道的以色列啊，回來吧！這是耶和華說的。我必不怒目看你們，因為我是慈愛的，這是耶和華說的。我必不永遠懷怒；只要承認你的罪孽，就是違背耶和華－你的上帝，在各青翠的樹下追逐外族的神明，沒有聽從我的話。這是耶和華說的背道的兒女啊，回來吧！這是耶和華說的。因為我作你們的丈夫，要將你們從一城取一人，從一族取兩人，帶到錫安。

這是因為以色列人得罪了那領他們出埃及地、脫離埃及王法老之手的耶和華－他們的上帝，去敬畏別神，隨從耶和華在以色列人面前所趕出外邦人的風俗和以色列諸王所立的規條。以色列人暗中行不正的事，違背耶和華－他們的上帝，在他們所有的城鎮，從瞭望樓直到堅固城，建築丘壇；在各高岡上、各青翠樹下立柱像和亞舍拉；在各丘壇上燒香，效法耶和華在他們面前趕出的外邦人所行的，又行惡事，惹耶和華發怒。他們事奉偶像，耶和華對他們說：「你們不可做這事。」耶和華藉眾先知、先見勸戒以色列和猶大說：「當離開你們的惡行，謹守我的誡命律例，遵行我吩咐你們祖先、藉我僕人眾先知所傳給你們的一切律法。」他們卻不聽從，竟硬着頸項，像他們祖先一樣，不信服耶和華－他們的上帝。他們厭棄他的律例，和他與他們列祖所立的約，以及他勸戒他們的話，去隨從虛無的神明，自己成為虛妄，效法周圍的列國，就是耶和華囑咐他們不可效法的。他們離棄耶和華－他們上帝的一切誡命，為自己鑄造了兩個牛犢的像，立了亞舍拉，敬拜天上的萬象，事奉巴力，使他們的兒女經火，占卜，行法術，出賣自己，行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，惹他發怒。

你在高而又高的山上安設床舖，上那裏去獻祭。
