仰觀荒邱、爾何在未受玷污、爾坐道旁以待、若亞拉伯人之伏於曠野、以爾淫亂邪惡、污衊斯土、

曠覽崇坵、何往非爾狥欲之地、爾憩坐途側以惑眾、若亞喇伯人、潛身曠野以害人、爾作惡縱欲、污衊斯邦。

爾舉目以望高邱、試觀何處非爾受污之地、爾坐道旁俟人、若亞拉伯人伏於曠野、爾行淫作惡、污穢斯地、

“ Look up to the barren heights and see. Is there any place where you have not been ravished? By the roadside you sat waiting for lovers, sat like a nomad in the desert. You have defiled the land with your prostitution and wickedness.

“ Look up at the bare hilltops. Is there any place where you have not worshiped other gods? You have been unfaithful to me like a wife committing adultery. By the side of the road you sat waiting for lovers. You sat there like someone who wanders in the desert. You have made the land impure. You are like a sinful prostitute.

Lift up your eyes to the bare heights, and see! Where have you not been ravished? By the waysides you have sat awaiting lovers like an Arab in the wilderness. You have polluted the land with your vile whoredom.

“ Look at the shrines on every hilltop. Is there any place you have not been defiled by your adultery with other gods? You sit like a prostitute beside the road waiting for a customer. You sit alone like a nomad in the desert. You have polluted the land with your prostitution and your wickedness.

Look to the barren heights and see. Where have you not been immoral? You sat waiting for them beside the highways like a nomad in the desert. You have defiled the land with your prostitution and wickedness.

“ Raise your eyes to the bare heights and see; Where have you not been violated? You have sat for them by the roads Like an Arab in the desert, And you have defiled a land With your prostitution and your wickedness.

“ Lift up your eyes to the desolate heights and see: Where have you not lain with men? By the road you have sat for them Like an Arabian in the wilderness; And you have polluted the land With your harlotries and your wickedness.

Lift up thine eyes unto the bare heights, and see; where hast thou not been lain with? By the ways hast thou sat for them, as an Arabian in the wilderness; and thou hast polluted the land with thy whoredoms and with thy wickedness.

他瑪見示拉已經長大了，還沒有娶她為妻，就脫去守寡的衣服，用帕子蒙臉，遮蔽自己，坐在亭拿路上，伊拿印的城門口。

你又為自己建造高岡，在各廣場上築起高壇。你在各路口建造高壇，使你的美麗變為可憎的，又向每一個過路的人張開兩腿，多行淫亂。

我領你們進入這肥美之地，得吃其中的果子和美物；可是你們一進來，就玷污了我的地；你們使我的產業成為可憎惡的。

不料，在那裡有以色列神的榮耀，形狀與我在平原所見的一樣。他對我說：“人子啊！舉目向北觀看。”我就舉目向北觀看，見祭壇門的北面，在入口的地方，有令神憤恨的偶像。他又對我說：“人子啊！以色列家在這裡所行的，就是他們行這極其可憎的事，使我遠離我的聖所，你看見了嗎？但你還要看見更加可憎的事。”

耶和華說：“人若是休妻，妻子離開了他，又嫁了別人，前夫怎能與她復合呢？如果復合，那地不是大大玷污了嗎？你曾與許多情人行淫，還想歸向我。”這是耶和華的宣告。

你們要把你們趕走的列國的人事奉神的地方，無論是在高山上，在山岡上，或是在各青翠樹下，都要完全毀壞；

“你從古時就折斷了自己的軛，解開了自己的繩索，說：‘我不事奉你了。’你在每個高岡上，在每棵繁茂樹下，蹲伏行淫。

財主在陰間受痛苦，舉目遠遠望見亞伯拉罕，和他懷裡的拉撒路，

所羅門有妃七百，都是公主；有嬪三百。他的妃嬪使他的心偏離了神。

你拿了你的一些衣服，為自己建造色彩繽紛的邱壇，又在那裡行淫。這樣的事不應發生，將來也不會再出現。

“‘你要剪去頭髮，並且把它拋掉，上到光禿的高岡舉哀，因為耶和華擯斥、棄絕了他所憎恨的世代。’”

在耶路撒冷東面、橄欖山南面的邱壇，就是以色列王所羅門為西頓人可憎的神亞斯他錄、摩押人可憎的神基抹，和亞捫人可憎的神米勒公所築的邱壇，王都污穢了。

“你怎麼能說：‘我沒有玷污自己，未曾跟從過巴力’呢？看看你在谷中的行徑，想想你所作過的！簡直像快捷的小雌駝，在路上亂闖；

這婦人喧嘩不停，不受約束；她在家裡停不住腳。

因以色列把自己的淫行視作等閒，去與石頭木頭行淫，就把這地玷污了。

在光禿的高岡聽到人聲，就是以色列人哭泣懇求的聲音；因為他們改轉了自己的道路，忘記了耶和華他們的神。

她像強盜一樣埋伏，使人間增添很多奸詐的人。

我領他們到了我曾經舉手起誓要賜給他們的那地，他們看見各高山和茂盛的樹林，就在那裡獻祭，在那裡奉上惹我發怒的供物，也在那裡獻上馨香的祭，並且在那裡澆上他們的奠祭。’
