当那日，主必再度伸手救回自己百姓中所剩余的，就是在亚述、埃及、巴特罗、古实、以拦、示拿、哈马，并众海岛所剩下的。他要向列国竖立大旗，召集以色列被赶散的人，又从地极四方聚集分散的犹大人。以法莲的嫉妒必消散，苦待犹大的也被剪除；以法莲必不嫉妒犹大，犹大也不苦待以法莲。

“人子啊，你要取一根木杖，在其上写‘为犹大和他的盟友以色列人’；又取一根木杖，在其上写‘为约瑟，就是以法莲的杖，和他的盟友以色列全家’。你要将这两根木杖彼此相接，连成一根，使它们在你手中合而为一。当你本国的子民对你说：‘你这是什么意思，你不指示我们吗？’你就对他们说，主耶和华如此说：看哪，我要将约瑟和他的盟友以色列支派的杖，就是在以法莲手中的那根，与犹大的杖接连成为一根，在我手中合而为一。你要在他们眼前，把写了字的那两根杖拿在手中，对他们说，主耶和华如此说：看哪，我要从以色列人所到的列国带领他们，从四围聚集他们，领他们回到本地。我要使他们在这地，在以色列群山上成为一国，必有一王作他们全体的王。他们不再成为二国，绝不再分为二国。
