Then I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding.

Then I will give you shepherds who are dear to my heart. Their knowledge and understanding will help them lead you.

And I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will guide you with knowledge and understanding.

I will give you shepherds who are loyal to me, and they will shepherd you with knowledge and skill.

And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.

And I will give you shepherds according to my heart, who shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.

I will give you shepherds who are loyal to Me, and they will shepherd you with knowledge and skill.

I will give you leaders who will be faithful to me. They will lead you with knowledge and insight.

And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the LORD.

Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them,[ even] my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.

And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon,[ son] of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.He saith to him again the second time, Simon,[ son] of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.He saith unto him the third time, Simon,[ son] of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal,[ even] as unto babes in Christ.I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able[ to bear it], neither yet now are ye able.

And[ though] the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers:And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This[ is] the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

And David my servant[ shall be] king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.

The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.

And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom[ his] lord shall make ruler over his household, to give[ them their] portion of meat in due season?

Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:

The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight[ thereof], not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;Neither as being lords over[ God’s] heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.And this[ man] shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.

But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him[ to be] captain over his people, because thou hast not kept[ that] which the LORD commanded thee.

For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which[ be] the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.For every one that useth milk[ is] unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age,[ even] those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
