我耶和華爾之上帝、爾違逆予、不遵我命、入諸茂林、崇事他上帝、今當任過。

惟當自認罪愆、蓋爾違逆主爾之天主、奔馳歧途、在各茂樹下、崇拜他神、不聽我命、此乃主所言、

Only acknowledge your guilt— you have rebelled against the Lord your God, you have scattered your favors to foreign gods under every spreading tree, and have not obeyed me,’” declares the Lord.

Admit that you are guilty of doing what is wrong. You have refused to obey me. I am the Lord your God. You have committed adultery with other gods. You worshiped them under every green tree. And you have not obeyed me,’ ” announces the Lord.

「當我向你們陳明的這些祝福和咒詛都應驗在你們身上時，如果你們在你們的上帝耶和華驅逐你們去的各國中回想這些話，歸向你們的上帝耶和華，你們及子孫照我今天的吩咐全心全意地聽從祂的話，祂必改變你們被擄的境遇，憐憫你們，把你們從祂驅逐你們去的列國招聚回來。

在約西亞王執政期間，耶和華對我說：「你看見以色列的不忠不貞了嗎？她在高山上、在綠蔭下放縱情慾。

「你們趕走那裡的列邦後，要徹底摧毀他們在高山上、丘陵上、綠樹下供奉其神明的地方。

我們躺在自己的羞恥中，讓我們的恥辱遮蓋我們吧！因為我們和我們的祖先都得罪了我們的上帝耶和華，我們自幼至今一直沒有順服我們的上帝耶和華。」

「很久以前，我折斷你的軛，解開你的捆索，你卻拒絕事奉我，在各高崗上、綠樹下躺臥淫亂。

我要動身回到我父親身邊，對他說，父親，我得罪了天，也得罪了你，今後，我再也不配作你的兒子，請把我當作僱工看待吧。』於是他動身回家。「他父親遠遠地看見他，就動了慈心，跑上前去抱著他連連親吻。小兒子說，『父親，我得罪了天，也得罪了你，今後，我再也不配作你的兒子。』

「你舉目看看那些光禿的高山，哪裡沒有被你玷污過呢？你坐在路旁等候情郎，就像曠野的遊牧者，你的淫亂惡行玷污了土地。

還為自己築祭壇，在各廣場建高高的神廟。你在街頭巷尾建高高的神廟，糟蹋自己的美貌。你向每一個過路的人投懷送抱，縱情淫亂，

耶和華啊，我們承認自己和我們祖先的罪，我們都得罪了你。

「如果他們承認自己和祖先的罪，就是背叛我、與我作對的惡行——以致我與他們作對，把他們流放到敵國；如果他們頑固的心謙卑下來，甘願接受刑罰，我便履行我與亞伯拉罕、以撒和雅各所立的約，眷顧那片土地。

我聽見以法蓮在為自己悲歎，『我們就像未經馴服的牛犢，你管教我們，使我們順服，求你使我們回到你身邊，重新復興，因為你是我們的上帝耶和華。我們曾經離開你，但我們後悔了；我們醒悟之後捶胸頓足，痛悔不已，因早年的所作所為而羞愧難當。』」耶和華說：「以法蓮不是我的愛子嗎？他不是我喜悅的孩子嗎？我雖然常常責備他，但仍然惦記著他。我深深地想念他，我必憐憫他。

他會當眾歌唱說，『我犯了罪，顛倒是非，祂卻沒有按我的罪報應我。祂救贖我的靈魂，使之免下深坑，使我的生命得見光明。』

自掩其罪，必不亨通；痛改前非，必蒙憐憫。

「『你卻仗著自己的美貌和名聲縱情淫亂，與所有過路的人苟合。

如果我們說自己沒有罪，便是自欺，真理就不在我們心中。如果我們承認自己的罪，上帝是信實公義的，必赦免我們的罪，洗淨我們一切的不義。我們如果說自己沒有犯過罪，就是把上帝看作說謊的，祂的道也不在我們心中。
