我耶和華爾之上帝、爾違逆予、不遵我命、入諸茂林、崇事他上帝、今當任過。

惟當自認罪愆、蓋爾違逆主爾之天主、奔馳歧途、在各茂樹下、崇拜他神、不聽我命、此乃主所言、

Only acknowledge your guilt— you have rebelled against the Lord your God, you have scattered your favors to foreign gods under every spreading tree, and have not obeyed me,’” declares the Lord.

you built a mound for yourself and made a lofty shrine in every public square.At every street corner you built your lofty shrines and degraded your beauty, spreading your legs with increasing promiscuity to anyone who passed by. (niv)

We acknowledge our wickedness, Lord, and the guilt of our ancestors; we have indeed sinned against you. (niv)

Therefore my heart yearns for him; I have great compassion for him,” declares the Lord. (niv)

And they will go to others and say,‘ I have sinned, I have perverted what is right, but I did not get what I deserved.God has delivered me from going down to the pit, and I shall live to enjoy the light of life.’ (niv)

Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy. (niv)

“‘ But you trusted in your beauty and used your fame to become a prostitute. You lavished your favors on anyone who passed by and your beauty became his. (niv)

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us. (niv)
