Go, proclaim these words to the north, and say,‘ Return, unfaithful Israel. This is the LORD’s declaration. I will not look on you with anger, for I am unfailing in my love. This is the LORD’s declaration. I will not be angry forever.

爾其北往、宣斯語曰、耶和華云、悖逆之以色列歟、爾其歸哉、我乃矜憫、不怒視爾、不永懷憤、耶和華言之矣、

爾往北方、揚聲播告曰、耶和華曰、爾以色列族背予、今當歸誠、蓋余矜憫為懷、不常蓄怒、必眷顧爾。

爾往北方、宣告此言曰、主云背叛之以色列歸哉、我不復向爾震奴、蓋我以矜憫為懷、不常含忿、此乃主所言、

Go, proclaim this message toward the north:“‘ Return, faithless Israel,’ declares the Lord,‘ I will frown on you no longer, for I am faithful,’ declares the Lord,‘ I will not be angry forever.

Go. Announce this message to the people in the north. Tell them,“‘ Israel, you have not been faithful,’ announces the Lord.‘ Return to me. Then I will do good things for you again. That’s because I am faithful,’ announces the Lord.‘ I will not be angry with you forever.

Go, and proclaim these words toward the north, and say,“‘ Return, faithless Israel, declares the Lord. I will not look on you in anger, for I am merciful, declares the Lord; I will not be angry forever.

Therefore, go and give this message to Israel. This is what the Lord says:“ O Israel, my faithless people, come home to me again, for I am merciful. I will not be angry with you forever.

Go and proclaim these words toward the north and say,‘ Return, faithless Israel,’ declares the Lord;‘ I will not look at you in anger. For I am gracious,’ declares the Lord;‘ I will not be angry forever.

Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say:‘ return, backsliding Israel,’ says the Lord;‘ I will not cause My anger to fall on you. For I am merciful,’ says the Lord;‘ I will not remain angry forever.

Go, and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith Jehovah; I will not look in anger upon you; for I am merciful, saith Jehovah, I will not keep anger for ever.

Go, proclaim these words to the north, and say: Return, unfaithful Israel. This is the Lord’s declaration. I will not look on you with anger, for I am unfailing in My love. This is the Lord’s declaration. I will not be angry forever.

Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the LORD;[ and] I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you: for I[ am] merciful, saith the LORD,[ and] I will not keep[ anger] for ever.

“ Go and shout this message to my people in the countries in the north. Tell them,‘ Come back to me, wayward Israel,’ says the LORD.‘ I will not continue to look on you with displeasure. For I am merciful,’ says the LORD.‘ I will not be angry with you forever.

Go, and proclaim these words toward the north, and say,‘ Return, you backsliding Israel,’ says Yahweh;‘ I will not look in anger on you; for I am merciful,’ says Yahweh.‘ I will not keep anger forever.

But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger and abounding in faithful love and truth.

Tell them,‘ As I live— this is the declaration of the Lord GOD— I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked person should turn from his way and live. Repent, repent of your evil ways! Why will you die, house of Israel?’

But from there, you will search for the LORD your God, and you will find him when you seek him with all your heart and all your soul.When you are in distress and all these things have happened to you, in the future you will return to the LORD your God and obey him.He will not leave you, destroy you, or forget the covenant with your ancestors that he swore to them by oath, because the LORD your God is a compassionate God.

Who is a God like you, forgiving iniquity and passing over rebellion for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not hold on to his anger forever because he delights in faithful love.He will again have compassion on us; he will vanquish our iniquities. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.You will show loyalty to Jacob and faithful love to Abraham, as you swore to our ancestors from days long ago.

In those days the house of Judah will join with the house of Israel, and they will come together from the land of the north to the land I have given your ancestors to inherit.’”

Return, you faithless children. I will heal your unfaithfulness.“ Here we are, coming to you, for you are the LORD our God.

then I might also reject the descendants of Jacob and of my servant David. That is, I would not take rulers from his descendants to rule over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. But in fact, I will restore their fortunes and have compassion on them.”

For you, Lord, are kind and ready to forgive, abounding in faithful love to all who call on you.

Will he bear a grudge forever? Will he be endlessly infuriated?” This is what you have said, but you have done the evil things you are capable of.

Isn’t Ephraim a precious son to me, a delightful child? Whenever I speak against him, I certainly still think about him. Therefore, my inner being yearns for him; I will truly have compassion on him. This is the LORD’s declaration.

Come, let’s return to the LORD. For he has torn us, and he will heal us; he has wounded us, and he will bind up our wounds.

Watch! I am going to bring them from the northern land. I will gather them from remote regions of the earth— the blind and the lame will be with them, along with those who are pregnant and those about to give birth. They will return here as a great assembly!

but,‘ As the LORD lives, who brought and led the descendants of the house of Israel from the land of the north and from all the other countries where I had banished them.’ They will dwell once more in their own land.”

The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in faithful love.

In the third year of Israel’s King Hoshea son of Elah, Hezekiah son of Ahaz became king of Judah.

If you return, Israel— this is the LORD’s declaration— you will return to me, if you remove your abhorrent idols from my presence and do not waver,

In the ninth year of Hoshea, the king of Assyria captured Samaria. He deported the Israelites to Assyria and settled them in Halah, along the Habor( Gozan’s river), and in the cities of the Medes.

If a man divorces his wife and she leaves him to marry another, can he ever return to her? Wouldn’t such a land become totally defiled? But you! You have prostituted yourself with many partners— can you return to me? This is the LORD’s declaration.

I have swept away your transgressions like a cloud, and your sins like a mist. Return to me, for I have redeemed you.

How long, LORD? Will you be angry forever? Will your jealousy keep burning like fire?

“ So this is what the Lord GOD says: Now I will restore the fortunes of Jacob and have compassion on the whole house of Israel, and I will be jealous for my holy name.

But from eternity to eternity the LORD’s faithful love is toward those who fear him, and his righteousness toward the grandchildren

Israel, return to the LORD your God, for you have stumbled in your iniquity.Take words of repentance with you and return to the LORD. Say to him,“ Forgive all our iniquity and accept what is good, so that we may repay you with praise from our lips.Assyria will not save us, we will not ride on horses, and we will no longer proclaim,‘ Our gods!’ to the work of our hands. For the fatherless receives compassion in you.”

and you and your children return to the LORD your God and obey him with all your heart and all your soul by doing everything I am commanding you today,

In the days of King Pekah of Israel, King Tiglath-pileser of Assyria came and captured Ijon, Abel-beth-maacah, Janoah, Kedesh, Hazor, Gilead, and Galilee— all the land of Naphtali— and deported the people to Assyria.

I thought,‘ After she has done all these things, she will return to me.’ But she didn’t return, and her treacherous sister Judah saw it.

“‘ Return, you faithless children— this is the LORD’s declaration— for I am your master, and I will take you, one from a city and two from a family, and I will bring you to Zion.

The law came along to multiply the trespass. But where sin multiplied, grace multiplied even moreso that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace will reign through righteousness, resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

for when you return to the LORD, your brothers and your sons will receive mercy in the presence of their captors and will return to this land. For the LORD your God is gracious and merciful; he will not turn his face away from you if you return to him.”

Finally, the LORD removed Israel from his presence just as he had declared through all his servants the prophets. So Israel has been exiled to Assyria from their homeland to this very day.

The one who conceals his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them will find mercy.

How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I surrender you, Israel? How can I make you like Admah? How can I treat you like Zeboiim? I have had a change of heart; my compassion is stirred!I will not vent the full fury of my anger; I will not turn back to destroy Ephraim. For I am God and not man, the Holy One among you; I will not come in rage.

For I will be with you— this is the LORD’s declaration— to save you! I will bring destruction on all the nations where I have scattered you; however, I will not bring destruction on you. I will discipline you justly, and I will by no means leave you unpunished.

The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and great in faithful love.
