看哪，利百加在你面前，可以将她带去，照着耶和华所说的，给你主人的儿子为妻。”

他有三十个儿子，三十个女儿；女儿都嫁出去了。他给众子从外乡娶了三十个媳妇。他作以色列的士师七年。

你们要生养众多，在地上昌盛繁茂。”

“你在这地方不可娶妻，生儿养女。因为论到在这地方所生的儿女，又论到在这国中生养他们的父母，耶和华如此说：他们必死得甚苦，无人哀哭，必不得葬埋，必在地上像粪土，必被刀剑和饥荒灭绝；他们的尸首必给空中的飞鸟和地上的野兽作食物。”

神就照着自己的形像造人，乃是照着他的形像造男造女。神就赐福给他们，又对他们说：“要生养众多，遍满地面，治理这地，也要管理海里的鱼、空中的鸟，和地上各样行动的活物。”

示剑对他父亲哈抹说：“求你为我聘这女子为妻。”

他们就给利百加祝福说：我们的妹子啊，愿你作千万人的母！愿你的后裔得着仇敌的城门！

参孙上来禀告他父母说：“我在亭拿看见一个女子，是非利士人的女儿，愿你们给我娶来为妻。”

若有人以为自己待他的女儿不合宜，女儿也过了年岁，事又当行，他就可随意办理，不算有罪，叫二人成亲就是了。倘若人心里坚定，没有不得已的事，并且由得自己作主，心里又决定了留下女儿不出嫁，如此行也好。这样看来，叫自己的女儿出嫁是好，不叫她出嫁更是好。

所以我愿意年轻的寡妇嫁人，生养儿女，治理家务，不给敌人辱骂的把柄。
