therefore thus says the Lord: Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his family: he shall not have anyone to dwell among this people, nor shall he see the good that I will do for My people, says the Lord, because he has taught rebellion against the Lord.

故耶和華曰、我必罰尼希蘭人示瑪雅、爰及苗裔、蓋彼出言悖逆耶和華、必無一人生存、居於民中、亦不得見我所將錫我民之福、耶和華言之矣、

故我云、必罰之、爰及苗裔、彼使人違我、故我錫福於斯民、彼不得享、彼之子孫、必絕滅於民間。

故主如是云、我必罰尼希蘭人示瑪雅、爰及苗裔、無一人存留居斯民中、不得見我所欲降我民之福、因彼所言、使人違逆我、我原文作主此乃主所言、

this is what the Lord says: I will surely punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his descendants. He will have no one left among this people, nor will he see the good things I will do for my people, declares the Lord, because he has preached rebellion against me.’”

So I say,‘ I will certainly punish Shemaiah, the Nehelamite. I will also punish his children after him. He will not have any children left among these people. I will do good things for my people. But he will not see them,’ ” ’ ” announces the Lord.“ ‘ “ ‘That’s because he has taught people to turn against me.’ ” ’ ”

therefore thus says the Lord: Behold, I will punish Shemaiah of Nehelam and his descendants. He shall not have anyone living among this people, and he shall not see the good that I will do to my people, declares the Lord, for he has spoken rebellion against the Lord.’”

I will punish him and his family. None of his descendants will see the good things I will do for my people, for he has incited you to rebel against me. I, the Lord, have spoken!’”

this is what the LORD says: I am about to punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his descendants. There will not be even one of his descendants living among these people, nor will any ever see the good that I will bring to my people— this is the LORD’s declaration— for he has preached rebellion against the LORD.’”

therefore this is what the Lord says:“ Behold, I am going to punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his descendants; he will not have anyone living among this people, and he will not see the good that I am going to do for My people,” declares the Lord,“ because he has spoken falsely against the Lord.” ’ ”

therefore thus saith Jehovah, Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite, and his seed; he shall not have a man to dwell among this people, neither shall he behold the good that I will do unto my people, saith Jehovah, because he hath spoken rebellion against Jehovah.

this is what the Lord says: I am about to punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his descendants. There will not be even one of his descendants living among these people, nor will any ever see the good that I will bring to My people”— this is the Lord’s declaration—“ for he has preached rebellion against the Lord.”

Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite, and his seed: he shall not have a man to dwell among this people; neither shall he behold the good that I will do for my people, saith the LORD; because he hath taught rebellion against the LORD.

Because he has done this,” the LORD says,“ I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his whole family. There will not be any of them left to experience the good things that I will do for my people. I, the LORD, affirm it! For he counseled rebellion against the LORD.”’”

therefore Yahweh says,“ Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his offspring. He will not have a man to dwell among this people. He won’t see the good that I will do to my people,” says Yahweh,“ because he has spoken rebellion against Yahweh.”’”

Therefore thus says the Lord:‘ Behold, I will cast you from the face of the earth. This year you shall die, because you have taught rebellion against the Lord.’”

For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, And shall not see when good comes, But shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, In a salt land which is not inhabited.

Then that officer had answered the man of God, and said,“ Now look, if the Lord would make windows in heaven, could such a thing be?” And he had said,“ In fact, you shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it.”And so it happened to him, for the people trampled him in the gate, and he died.

Therefore the Lord God of Israel says:‘ I said indeed that your house and the house of your father would walk before Me forever.’ But now the Lord says:‘ Far be it from Me; for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed.Behold, the days are coming that I will cut off your arm and the arm of your father’s house, so that there will not be an old man in your house.And you will see an enemy in My dwelling place, despite all the good which God does for Israel. And there shall not be an old man in your house forever.But any of your men whom I do not cut off from My altar shall consume your eyes and grieve your heart. And all the descendants of your house shall die in the flower of their age.Now this shall be a sign to you that will come upon your two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas: in one day they shall die, both of them.

So an officer on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God and said,“ Look, if the Lord would make windows in heaven, could this thing be?” And he said,“ In fact, you shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it.”

Thus says the Lord:‘ Write this man down as childless, A man who shall not prosper in his days; For none of his descendants shall prosper, Sitting on the throne of David, And ruling anymore in Judah.’”

you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,

And you, Pashhur, and all who dwell in your house, shall go into captivity. You shall go to Babylon, and there you shall die, and be buried there, you and all your friends, to whom you have prophesied lies.’”

Then Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, the silver, the garment, the wedge of gold, his sons, his daughters, his oxen, his donkeys, his sheep, his tent, and all that he had, and they brought them to the Valley of Achor.And Joshua said,“ Why have you troubled us? The Lord will trouble you this day.” So all Israel stoned him with stones; and they burned them with fire after they had stoned them with stones.

Therefore the leprosy of Naaman shall cling to you and your descendants forever.” And he went out from his presence leprous, as white as snow.

So they got away from around the tents of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram; and Dathan and Abiram came out and stood at the door of their tents, with their wives, their sons, and their little children.And Moses said:“ By this you shall know that the Lord has sent me to do all these works, for I have not done them of my own will.If these men die naturally like all men, or if they are visited by the common fate of all men, then the Lord has not sent me.But if the Lord creates a new thing, and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them up with all that belongs to them, and they go down alive into the pit, then you will understand that these men have rejected the Lord.”Now it came to pass, as he finished speaking all these words, that the ground split apart under them,and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, with their households and all the men with Korah, with all their goods.So they and all those with them went down alive into the pit; the earth closed over them, and they perished from among the assembly.

therefore thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel:“ Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not lack a man to stand before Me forever.”’”

“ Therefore thus says the Lord:‘ Your wife shall be a harlot in the city; Your sons and daughters shall fall by the sword; Your land shall be divided by survey line; You shall die in a defiled land; And Israel shall surely be led away captive From his own land.’”

You will not be joined with them in burial, Because you have destroyed your land And slain your people. The brood of evildoers shall never be named.

For thus says the Lord: After seventy years are completed at Babylon, I will visit you and perform My good word toward you, and cause you to return to this place.For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive.

“ For I will rise up against them,” says the Lord of hosts,“ And cut off from Babylon the name and remnant, And offspring and posterity,” says the Lord.

Let his days be few, And let another take his office.Let his children be fatherless, And his wife a widow.Let his children continually be vagabonds, and beg; Let them seek their bread also from their desolate places.Let the creditor seize all that he has, And let strangers plunder his labor.Let there be none to extend mercy to him, Nor let there be any to favor his fatherless children.Let his posterity be cut off, And in the generation following let their name be blotted out.Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered before the Lord, And let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.Let them be continually before the Lord, That He may cut off the memory of them from the earth;
