彼在以色列中、行愚妄之事、淫其鄰之妻、偽託我名、言我所未命者、我知之、亦證之、耶和華言之矣、○

因彼作惡於以色列族、淫人婦女。又藉我名、誘惑民人、違予所命、我耶和華鑒察之矣。

For they have done outrageous things in Israel; they have committed adultery with their neighbors’ wives, and in my name they have uttered lies— which I did not authorize. I know it and am a witness to it,” declares the Lord.

我在耶路撒冷的先知中曾見恐怖的事；他們犯姦淫，行虛謊，又堅固惡人的手，無人回轉離開自己的惡行。他們在我面前都像所多瑪，耶路撒冷的居民都像蛾摩拉。

萬軍之耶和華說：「我必臨近你們，施行審判。我必速速作見證，警戒那些行邪術的、犯姦淫的、起假誓的、剝削雇工工錢的、欺壓孤兒寡婦的、屈枉寄居者的和不敬畏我的人。」

被造的，沒有一樣在他面前不是顯露的；萬物在他眼前都是赤露敞開的，我們必須向他交賬。

萬軍之耶和華－以色列的上帝如此說：不要被你們中間的先知和占卜的所誘惑，也不要聽信你們所做的夢，因為他們託我的名對你們說假預言，我並未差遣他們。這是耶和華說的。

因我的眼目察看他們一切的行為；他們不能在我面前遮掩，他們的罪孽也不能在我眼前隱藏。

萬軍之耶和華－以色列的上帝論哥賴雅的兒子亞哈和瑪西雅的兒子西底家如此說：『他們託我的名向你們說假預言，看哪，我必把他們交在巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒的手中，他要在你們眼前殺害他們。

因為人所行的道都在耶和華眼前，他察驗人一切的路。

我並未差遣那些先知，他們竟自奔跑；我沒有對他們說話，他們竟自預言。

「你要寫信給老底嘉教會的使者，說：『那位阿們、誠信真實的見證者、上帝創造的根源這樣說：

我是靠近你們的上帝，不是遙遠的上帝，不是嗎？這是耶和華說的。人豈能在隱密處藏身，使我看不見他呢？這是耶和華說的。我豈不遍滿天和地嗎？這是耶和華說的。

你們豈可偷盜，殺害，姦淫，起假誓，向巴力燒香，隨從素不認識的別神，又來到這稱為我名下的殿，在我面前敬拜，說『我們平安無事』，為了要行這一切可憎的事呢？

但上帝對惡人說：「你怎敢傳講我的律例，口中提到我的約呢？其實你恨惡管教，將我的言語拋在腦後。你見了盜賊就樂意與他同夥，又和行姦淫的人同流合污。

尤其那些隨從肉體、放縱污穢的情慾、藐視主的權威的人更是如此。他們膽大任性，無懼地毀謗眾尊榮者；就是天使，雖然力量權能更大，在對他們宣告從主來的審判的時候還不用毀謗的話。但這些人好像沒有理性的牲畜，生來就是要被捉拿宰殺的。他們毀謗自己所不知道的事，正在敗壞人的時候，自己也遭遇敗壞，為所行的不義受不義的工錢。他們喜愛白晝狂歡，他們已被玷污，又有瑕疵，正與你們一同歡宴，以自己的詭詐為樂。他們滿眼是淫色，是止不住的罪，引誘心不堅定的人，心中習慣了貪婪，正是被詛咒的種類。他們離棄了正路，走入歧途，隨從比珥的兒子巴蘭的路；巴蘭就是那貪愛不義的工錢的人，他卻為自己的過犯受了責備，而那不能說話的驢以人的聲音阻止了先知的狂妄。這些人是無水的泉源，是狂風催逼的霧氣，有漆黑的幽暗為他們存留。他們說虛妄誇大的話，用肉體的情慾和淫蕩的事引誘那些剛脫離錯謬生活的人。他們應許人自由，自己卻作了腐敗的奴隸，因為人被誰制伏就是誰的奴隸。

你們還說：「這是為甚麼呢？」因為耶和華在你和你年輕時所娶的妻之間作證。她雖是你的配偶，你誓約的妻，你卻背棄她。

你在田野的山上行姦淫，發嘶聲，謀淫亂，這些可憎之事我都看見了。耶路撒冷啊，你有禍了！你不肯潔淨還要等到幾時呢？

照樣，這些做夢的人也污穢身體，輕慢掌權者，毀謗眾尊榮者。天使長米迦勒為摩西的屍首與魔鬼爭辯的時候，尚且不敢用毀謗的話譴責他，只說：「主責備你吧！」但這些人毀謗他們所不知道的。他們與那些沒有理性的牲畜一樣，只做本性所知道的事，敗壞了自己。他們有禍了！因為他們走該隱的道路，又為財利往巴蘭的錯謬裏直奔，並在可拉的背叛中滅亡了。

它的先知是虛浮詭詐的人，祭司褻瀆聖所，強解律法。
