Within two years I will bring back to this place all the articles of the Lord’s house that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon removed from here and took to Babylon.

Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, removed all the objects that belong to my house. He took them to Babylon. Before two years are over, I will bring them back to this place.

那年春天，尼布甲尼撒王派人把他和耶和華殿裡的貴重器皿一同帶到巴比倫。尼布甲尼撒另立約雅斤的叔叔西底迦做猶大和耶路撒冷的王。

主將猶大王約雅敬及上帝殿中的部分器具交在他手中。他把器具擄到巴比倫的神廟，放在他神明的庫房裡。

我們一生七十歲，強壯的可活八十歲，但人生最美好的時光也充滿勞苦和愁煩，生命轉瞬即逝，我們便如飛而去。

我也對祭司和全體民眾說：「耶和華說，『你們不要聽信假先知騙人的預言，他們說耶和華殿裡的器皿很快就要從巴比倫運回來了。你們不可聽信他們的話。你們要臣服於巴比倫王，以便存活。何必使這城淪為廢墟呢？如果他們真的是先知，有耶和華給他們的信息，就讓他們求萬軍之耶和華不要使聖殿中、猶大王宮內和耶路撒冷剩餘的器皿被擄到巴比倫去。』巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒把猶大王約雅敬的兒子耶哥尼雅，以及猶大和耶路撒冷的貴族從耶路撒冷擄到巴比倫去的時候，沒有帶走耶和華殿的銅柱、銅海、銅底座及其他器皿。

雅各在埃及住了十七年，他一共活了一百四十七歲。

雅各回答說：「我在世上寄居一百三十年了，我的日子又苦又短，不像我祖先那樣高壽。」
