With my great power and outstretched arm I made the earth and its people and the animals that are on it, and I give it to anyone I please.

I reached out my great and powerful arm. I made the earth. I made its people and animals. And I can give the earth to anyone I please.

“ It is I who by my great power and my outstretched arm have made the earth, with the men and animals that are on the earth, and I give it to whomever it seems right to me.

With my great strength and powerful arm I made the earth and all its people and every animal. I can give these things of mine to anyone I choose.

‘ I have made the earth, mankind, and the animals which are on the face of the earth by My great power and by My outstretched arm, and I will give it to the one who is pleasing in My sight.

‘ I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are on the ground, by My great power and by My outstretched arm, and have given it to whom it seemed proper to Me.

I have made the earth, the men and the beasts that are upon the face of the earth, by my great power and by my outstretched arm; and I give it unto whom it seemeth right unto me.

By My great strength and outstretched arm, I made the earth, and the people, and animals on the face of the earth. I give it to anyone I please.

I have made the earth, the man and the beast that[ are] upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.

“ I made the earth and the people and animals on it by my mighty power and great strength, and I give it to whomever I see fit.

‘ I have made the earth, the men, and the animals that are on the surface of the earth by my great power and by my outstretched arm. I give it to whom it seems right to me.

Oh, Lord GOD! You yourself made the heavens and earth by your great power and with your outstretched arm. Nothing is too difficult for you!

May you be blessed by the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.The heavens are the LORD’s, but the earth he has given to the human race.

This word is by decree of the watchers, and the decision is by command from the holy ones. This is so that the living will know that the Most High is ruler over human kingdoms. He gives them to anyone he wants and sets the lowliest of people over them.

Happy is the one whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God,the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea and everything in them. He remains faithful forever,

This is what God, the LORD, says— who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and what comes from it, who gives breath to the people on it and spirit to those who walk on it—

He made the earth by his power, established the world by his wisdom, and spread out the heavens by his understanding.

I made the earth, and created humans on it. It was my hands that stretched out the heavens, and I commanded everything in them.

Our Lord and God, you are worthy to receive glory and honor and power, because you have created all things, and by your will they exist and were created.

You are to say this to them:“ The gods that did not make the heavens and the earth will perish from the earth and from under these heavens.”He made the earth by his power, established the world by his wisdom, and spread out the heavens by his understanding.

He made the heavens skillfully. His faithful love endures forever.He spread the land on the waters. His faithful love endures forever.He made the great lights: His faithful love endures forever.the sun to rule by day, His faithful love endures forever.the moon and stars to rule by night. His faithful love endures forever.

My own hand founded the earth, and my right hand spread out the heavens; when I summoned them, they stood up together.

“ People! Why are you doing these things? We are people also, just like you, and we are proclaiming good news to you, that you turn from these worthless things to the living God, who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and everything in them.

Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his heavenly armies.Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, all you shining stars.Praise him, highest heavens, and you waters above the heavens.Let them praise the name of the LORD, for he commanded, and they were created.

For everything was created by him, in heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities— all things have been created through him and for him.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.He was with God in the beginning.All things were created through him, and apart from him not one thing was created that has been created.

But you have forgotten the LORD, your Maker, who stretched out the heavens and laid the foundations of the earth. You are in constant dread all day long because of the fury of the oppressor, who has set himself to destroy. But where is the fury of the oppressor?

And: In the beginning, Lord, you established the earth, and the heavens are the works of your hands;they will perish, but you remain. They will all wear out like clothing;

Do you not know? Have you not heard? Has it not been declared to you from the beginning? Have you not considered the foundations of the earth?God is enthroned above the circle of the earth; its inhabitants are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like thin cloth and spreads them out like a tent to live in.He reduces princes to nothing and makes judges of the earth like a wasteland.They are barely planted, barely sown, their stem hardly takes root in the ground when he blows on them and they wither, and a whirlwind carries them away like stubble.“ To whom will you compare me, or who is my equal?” asks the Holy One.Look up and see! Who created these? He brings out the stars by number; he calls all of them by name. Because of his great power and strength, not one of them is missing.

This is what the LORD, your Redeemer who formed you from the womb, says: I am the LORD, who made everything; who stretched out the heavens by myself; who alone spread out the earth;

For the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and everything in them in six days; then he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and declared it holy.

In these last days, he has spoken to us by his Son. God has appointed him heir of all things and made the universe through him.

Where were you when I established the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding.Who fixed its dimensions? Certainly you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it?What supports its foundations? Or who laid its cornerstonewhile the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy?Who enclosed the sea behind doors when it burst from the womb,when I made the clouds its garment and total darkness its blanket,when I determined its boundaries and put its bars and doors in place,when I declared,“ You may come this far, but no farther; your proud waves stop here”?Have you ever in your life commanded the morning or assigned the dawn its place,so it may seize the edges of the earth and shake the wicked out of it?The earth is changed as clay is by a seal; its hills stand out like the folds of a garment.Light is withheld from the wicked, and the arm raised in violence is broken.Have you traveled to the sources of the sea or walked in the depths of the oceans?Have the gates of death been revealed to you? Have you seen the gates of deep darkness?Have you comprehended the extent of the earth? Tell me, if you know all this.Where is the road to the home of light? Do you know where darkness lives,so you can lead it back to its border? Are you familiar with the paths to its home?Don’t you know? You were already born; you have lived so long!Have you entered the place where the snow is stored? Or have you seen the storehouses of hail,which I hold in reserve for times of trouble, for the day of warfare and battle?What road leads to the place where light is dispersed? Where is the source of the east wind that spreads across the earth?Who cuts a channel for the flooding rain or clears the way for lightning,to bring rain on an uninhabited land, on a desert with no human life,to satisfy the parched wasteland and cause the grass to sprout?Does the rain have a father? Who fathered the drops of dew?Whose womb did the ice come from? Who gave birth to the frost of heavenwhen water becomes as hard as stone, and the surface of the watery depths is frozen?Can you fasten the chains of the Pleiades or loosen the belt of Orion?Can you bring out the constellations in their season and lead the Bear and her cubs?Do you know the laws of heaven? Can you impose its authority on earth?Can you command the clouds so that a flood of water covers you?Can you send out lightning bolts, and they go? Do they report to you,“ Here we are”?Who put wisdom in the heart or gave the mind understanding?Who has the wisdom to number the clouds? Or who can tilt the water jars of heavenwhen the dust hardens like cast metal and the clods of dirt stick together?Can you hunt prey for a lioness or satisfy the appetite of young lionswhen they crouch in their dens and lie in wait within their lairs?Who provides the raven’s food when its young cry out to God and wander about for lack of food?

He struck down many nations and slaughtered mighty kings:Sihon king of the Amorites, Og king of Bashan, and all the kings of Canaan.He gave their land as an inheritance, an inheritance to his people Israel.

When you get close to the Ammonites, don’t show any hostility to them or provoke them, for I will not give you any of the Ammonites’ land as a possession; I have given it as a possession to the descendants of Lot.’”

or the form of any animal on the earth, any winged creature that flies in the sky,

The LORD said to me,‘ Show no hostility toward Moab, and do not provoke them to battle, for I will not give you any of their land as a possession, since I have given Ar as a possession to the descendants of Lot.’”

For the LORD your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands. He has watched over your journey through this immense wilderness. The LORD your God has been with you these past forty years, and you have lacked nothing.’

The fear and terror of you will be in every living creature on the earth, every bird of the sky, every creature that crawls on the ground, and all the fish of the sea. They are placed under your authority.Every creature that lives and moves will be food for you; as I gave the green plants, I have given you everything.

You were shown these things so that you would know that the LORD is God; there is no other besides him.

God also said,“ Look, I have given you every seed-bearing plant on the surface of the entire earth and every tree whose fruit contains seed. This will be food for you,for all the wildlife of the earth, for every bird of the sky, and for every creature that crawls on the earth— everything having the breath of life in it— I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so.

“ When you have children and grandchildren and have been in the land a long time, and if you act corruptly, make an idol in the form of anything, and do what is evil in the sight of the LORD your God, angering him,

But they are your people, your inheritance, whom you brought out by your great power and outstretched arm.

a great and numerous people, tall as the Anakim. The LORD destroyed the Rephaim at the advance of the Ammonites, so that they drove them out and settled in their place.

Long ago you established the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.

“ Indeed, ask about the earlier days that preceded you, from the day God created mankind on the earth and from one end of the heavens to the other: Has anything like this great event ever happened, or has anything like it been heard of?

When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance and divided the human race, he set the boundaries of the peoples according to the number of the people of Israel.

This is what King Cyrus of Persia says:“ The LORD, the God of the heavens, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and has appointed me to build him a house at Jerusalem in Judah.

The departed spirits tremble beneath the waters and all that inhabit them.Sheol is naked before God, and Abaddon has no covering.He stretches the northern skies over empty space; he hangs the earth on nothing.He wraps up the water in his clouds, yet the clouds do not burst beneath its weight.He obscures the view of his throne, spreading his cloud over it.He laid out the horizon on the surface of the waters at the boundary between light and darkness.The pillars that hold up the sky tremble, astounded at his rebuke.By his power he stirred the sea, and by his understanding he crushed Rahab.By his breath the heavens gained their beauty; his hand pierced the fleeing serpent.These are but the fringes of his ways; how faint is the word we hear of him! Who can understand his mighty thunder?

Honor your father and your mother, as the LORD your God has commanded you, so that you may live long and so that you may prosper in the land the LORD your God is giving you.

Whoever sheds human blood, by humans his blood will be shed, for God made humans in his image.

The God who made the world and everything in it— he is Lord of heaven and earth— does not live in shrines made by hands.

“ Moses my servant is dead. Now you and all the people prepare to cross over the Jordan to the land I am giving the Israelites.I have given you every place where the sole of your foot treads, just as I promised Moses.
