四方列國必致荒蕪、使人駭愕、惟彼億兆、服事巴比倫王、歷七十年。耶和華又曰、七十年之期既屆、我降罰於巴比倫之君民、治其罪戾、使迦勒底土地荒蕪、歷久若此。

金銀器皿計五千四百、設巴薩自巴比倫率被虜者歸耶路撒冷時、攜此器皿。

巴比倫王古列元年、頒詔天下、使復建上帝殿。尼布甲尼撒所遷金銀器皿、自耶路撒冷上帝殿、至巴比倫殿古列王取之、以畀所立之牧伯設巴薩、使攜至耶路撒冷、建上帝殿於其所。

耶和華有旨必行、非詭謀所能撓。

盡得耶和華殿、及王宮府庫之寶、剝耶和華殿間、以色列王所羅門所飾之金、應耶和華言、俘耶路撒冷群臣居民、豪傑之士、工作之輩、計一萬人、所遺者惟貧乏之人而已。以約雅斤、與王母、王后、宦豎、及有能力者、自耶路撒冷、擄至巴比倫、軍旅七千、工匠一千、及諸壯士、咸為巴比倫王所擄、至巴比倫邑。巴比倫王使約雅斤叔馬大尼、代之為王、易名西底家。○

耶和華殿中之銅柱、盆座、巨盤、俱為迦勒底人所毀、攜其銅至巴比倫、

昔尼布甲尼撒在耶路撒冷、遷耶和華殿之器皿、置於己上帝之殿、今巴西王古列、命司庫之吏密哩撻、攜器皿出、依其數、予猶大伯設巴薩、

耶和華殿中銅柱盆座、巨盤、俱為迦勒底人所毀、攜其銅至巴比倫、其釜、鍫、剪、鼎、及諸銅器、以供役事者、悉攜之去、其杯棬、其盤、其盂、其鼎、其燈臺、其剪、其壺、及金銀諸器、俱為侍衛長所取。昔所羅門、為耶和華殿、造諸銅器、不能權其輕重、即二柱、一巨盤、盆座下銅牛十二、每柱高丈有八尺、四周丈有二尺、其柱維空、厚約四指、

爾將死於安樂、爾之列祖先王易簀之時、人爇芬芳之品、哭曰、哀哉我主、爾逝世、人焚香哭爾、亦若是。我耶和華已言之矣。

於是以色列土地荒寂、若享安息、歷七十年、應耶利米所傳耶和華言、耶和華諭耶利米之預言必應、故巴西王古列元年、耶和華感動古列之心、詔告天下、曰、巴西王古列云、天上之上帝耶和華、以天下列國予我、命我在猶大之耶路撒冷建殿、以奉其名、爾乃遴選之民、誰欲建斯殿、則可往、望其上帝耶和華祐焉。耶和華諭耶利米預言必應、故巴西國王古列元年、耶和華感古列王之心、詔告天下云、巴西王古列曰、天上上帝耶和華、以天下列國賜我、命我在猶大之耶路撒冷建殿、以奉其名。以色列之上帝耶和華誠為上帝、凡爾遴選之民、可往猶大之耶路撒冷、建置殿宇、願上帝祐之。猶大人所旅之地、其地之民可助之、饋以金銀、財貨、牲牷、亦可樂輸禮物、供耶路撒冷上帝之殿。於是猶大便雅憫、族中最著者、與祭司利未人、及凡為上帝所感者、咸往耶路撒冷、欲建耶和華殿。

惟驕其志、逆天之主、命取厥殿之器、王公后妃、用之飲酒、譽揚金銀銅鐵木石所造之上帝、彼不見不聞、不識不知、至於賜爾呼吸、整爾步履之上帝、爾反不頌美之、

伯沙撒王、肆筵設席、召有爵位者千人、咸赴王讌、與眾同飲、進酒時、命取金銀器皿、乃王之祖尼布甲尼撒得之於耶路撒冷上帝殿者、遂取之至、王公后妃以之飲酒、

使迦勒底王至、在聖室中、戮諸壯士、凡丁男、處女、耆年、耄耋者、俱無所惜、見虜於敵。上帝殿中、大小器皿、以及寶物、王與諸伯珍貴之器、悉徙至巴比倫、
