But if they[ be] prophets, and if the word of the LORD be with them, let them now make intercession to the LORD of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD, and[ in] the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon.

If they are prophets and have the word of the Lord, let them plead with the Lord Almighty that the articles remaining in the house of the Lord and in the palace of the king of Judah and in Jerusalem not be taken to Babylon.

If they are prophets and have received a message from me, let them pray to me. I am the Lord who rules over all. Those prophets should pray that what is still in Jerusalem will remain here. They should pray that the objects in my house and the king’s palace will not be taken to Babylon.

If they are prophets, and if the word of the Lord is with them, then let them intercede with the Lord of hosts, that the vessels that are left in the house of the Lord, in the house of the king of Judah, and in Jerusalem may not go to Babylon.

If they really are prophets and speak the Lord’s messages, let them pray to the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. Let them pray that the articles remaining in the Lord’s Temple and in the king’s palace and in the palaces of Jerusalem will not be carried away to Babylon!’

If they are indeed prophets and if the word of the LORD is with them, let them intercede with the LORD of Armies not to let the articles that remain in the LORD’s temple, in the palace of the king of Judah, and in Jerusalem go to Babylon.’

But if they are prophets, and if the word of the Lord is with them, have them now plead with the Lord of armies that the vessels which are left in the house of the Lord and the house of the king of Judah and in Jerusalem do not go to Babylon.

But if they are prophets, and if the word of the Lord is with them, let them now make intercession to the Lord of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the Lord, in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, do not go to Babylon.’

But if they be prophets, and if the word of Jehovah be with them, let them now make intercession to Jehovah of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of Jehovah, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon.

If they are indeed prophets and if the word of the Lord is with them, let them intercede with the Lord of Hosts not to let the articles that remain in the Lord’s temple, in the palace of the king of Judah, and in Jerusalem go to Babylon.’

I also told them,“ If they are really prophets and the LORD is speaking to them, let them pray earnestly to the LORD who rules over all. Let them plead with him not to let the valuable articles that are still left in the LORD’s temple, in the royal palace, and in Jerusalem be taken away to Babylon.

But if they are prophets, and if Yahweh’s word is with them, let them now make intercession to Yahweh of Armies, that the vessels which are left in Yahweh’s house, in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, don’t go to Babylon.

And the children of Israel said to Samuel, Cease not to cry unto the LORD our God for us, that he will save us out of the hand of the Philistines.

And all the people said unto Samuel, Pray for thy servants unto the LORD thy God, that we die not: for we have added unto all our sins[ this] evil, to ask us a king.

Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:

Shall evil be recompensed for good? for they have digged a pit for my soul. Remember that I stood before thee to speak good for them,[ and] to turn away thy wrath from them.

And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD: and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken.

Confess[ your] faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

And for this[ cause] Hezekiah the king, and the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz, prayed and cried to heaven.

Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee.

Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you[ after your] folly, in that ye have not spoken of me[ the thing which is] right, like my servant Job.So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite[ and] Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as the LORD commanded them: the LORD also accepted Job.

Then said the LORD unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me,[ yet] my mind[ could] not[ be] toward this people: cast[ them] out of my sight, and let them go forth.

And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

Though these three men[ were] in it,[ as] I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither sons nor daughters, but they only shall be delivered themselves.Or[ if] I send a pestilence into that land, and pour out my fury upon it in blood, to cut off from it man and beast:Though Noah, Daniel, and Job,[ were] in it,[ as] I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither son nor daughter; they shall[ but] deliver their own souls by their righteousness.

And said unto Jeremiah the prophet, Let, we beseech thee, our supplication be accepted before thee, and pray for us unto the LORD thy God,[ even] for all this remnant;( for we are left[ but] a few of many, as thine eyes do behold us:)

And now, I pray you, beseech God that he will be gracious unto us: this hath been by your means: will he regard your persons? saith the LORD of hosts.

So Abraham prayed unto God: and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maidservants; and they bare[ children].

Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver[ but] their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord GOD.

And they took the bullock which was given them, and they dressed[ it], and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us. But[ there was] no voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped upon the altar which was made.

Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that[ are] therein?That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?And the LORD said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, which[ am but] dust and ashes:Peradventure there shall lack five of the fifty righteous: wilt thou destroy all the city for[ lack of] five? And he said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy[ it].And he spake unto him yet again, and said, Peradventure there shall be forty found there. And he said, I will not do[ it] for forty’s sake.And he said[ unto him], Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: Peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do[ it], if I find thirty there.And he said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord: Peradventure there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy[ it] for twenty’s sake.And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy[ it] for ten’s sake.And the LORD went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place.
