如彼果為先知、奉耶和華之命、則當祈萬軍之耶和華、俾在耶和華室、猶大王宮、耶路撒冷、尚存之器、不被遷於巴比倫、

如彼誠先知、奉耶和華命、則可祈萬有之主耶和華、使其殿宇、及猶大王宮、耶路撒冷邑所遺之器皿、必不遷於巴比倫。

如彼誠為先知、誠奉主之命、則可祈萬有之主、使在主殿、猶大王宮、及耶路撒冷所遺之器皿、不遷於巴比倫、

If they are prophets and have the word of the Lord, let them plead with the Lord Almighty that the articles remaining in the house of the Lord and in the palace of the king of Judah and in Jerusalem not be taken to Babylon.

If they are prophets and have received a message from me, let them pray to me. I am the Lord who rules over all. Those prophets should pray that what is still in Jerusalem will remain here. They should pray that the objects in my house and the king’s palace will not be taken to Babylon.

If they are prophets, and if the word of the Lord is with them, then let them intercede with the Lord of hosts, that the vessels that are left in the house of the Lord, in the house of the king of Judah, and in Jerusalem may not go to Babylon.

If they really are prophets and speak the Lord’s messages, let them pray to the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. Let them pray that the articles remaining in the Lord’s Temple and in the king’s palace and in the palaces of Jerusalem will not be carried away to Babylon!’

If they are indeed prophets and if the word of the LORD is with them, let them intercede with the LORD of Armies not to let the articles that remain in the LORD’s temple, in the palace of the king of Judah, and in Jerusalem go to Babylon.’

But if they are prophets, and if the word of the Lord is with them, have them now plead with the Lord of armies that the vessels which are left in the house of the Lord and the house of the king of Judah and in Jerusalem do not go to Babylon.

I also told them,“ If they are really prophets and the LORD is speaking to them, let them pray earnestly to the LORD who rules over all. Let them plead with him not to let the valuable articles that are still left in the LORD’s temple, in the royal palace, and in Jerusalem be taken away to Babylon.

But if they are prophets, and if Yahweh’s word is with them, let them now make intercession to Yahweh of Armies, that the vessels which are left in Yahweh’s house, in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, don’t go to Babylon.

以色列人對撒母耳說：「願你不住地為我們呼求耶和華－我們的神，救我們脫離非利士人的手。」

眾民對撒母耳說：「求你為僕人們禱告耶和華－你的神，免得我們死亡；因為我們求立王的事正是罪上加罪了。」

至於我，斷不停止為你們禱告，以致得罪耶和華。我必以善道正路指教你們。

豈可以惡報善呢？他們竟挖坑要害我的性命！求你記念我怎樣站在你面前為他們代求，要使你的忿怒向他們轉消。

你們求告你們神的名，我也求告耶和華的名。那降火顯應的神，就是神。」眾民回答說：「這話甚好。」

所以你們要彼此認罪，互相代求，使你們可以得醫治。義人祈禱所發的力量是大有功效的。以利亞與我們是一樣性情的人，他懇切禱告，求不要下雨，雨就三年零六個月不下在地上。他又禱告，天就降下雨來，地也生出土產。

希西家王和亞摩斯的兒子先知以賽亞因此禱告，向天呼求。

「所以，你不要為這百姓祈禱；不要為他們呼求禱告，也不要向我為他們祈求，因我不聽允你。

現在你們要取七隻公牛，七隻公羊，到我僕人約伯那裏去，為自己獻上燔祭，我的僕人約伯就為你們祈禱。我因悅納他，就不按你們的愚妄辦你們。你們議論我，不如我的僕人約伯說的是。」於是提幔人以利法、書亞人比勒達、拿瑪人瑣法照着耶和華所吩咐的去行；耶和華就悅納約伯。

耶和華對我說：「雖有摩西和撒母耳站在我面前代求，我的心也不顧惜這百姓。你將他們從我眼前趕出，叫他們去吧！

我在他們中間尋找一人重修牆垣，在我面前為這國站在破口防堵，使我不滅絕這國，卻找不着一個。

雖有這三人在其中，主耶和華說：我指着我的永生起誓，他們連兒帶女都不能得救，只能自己得救。或者我叫瘟疫流行那地，使我滅命的忿怒傾在其上，好將人與牲畜從其中剪除；雖有挪亞、但以理、約伯在其中，主耶和華說：我指着我的永生起誓，他們連兒帶女都不能救，只能因他們的義救自己的性命。」

對先知耶利米說：「求你准我們在你面前祈求，為我們這剩下的人禱告耶和華－你的神。我們本來眾多，現在剩下的極少，這是你親眼所見的。

「現在我勸你們懇求神，他好施恩與我們。這妄獻的事，既由你們經手，他豈能看你們的情面嗎？這是萬軍之耶和華說的。

亞伯拉罕禱告神，神就醫好了亞比米勒和他的妻子，並他的眾女僕，她們便能生育。

其中雖有挪亞、但以理、約伯這三人，他們只能因他們的義救自己的性命。這是主耶和華說的。

他們將所得的牛犢預備好了，從早晨到午間，求告巴力的名說：「巴力啊，求你應允我們！」卻沒有聲音，沒有應允的。他們在所築的壇四圍踊跳。

假若那城裏有五十個義人，你還剿滅那地方嗎？不為城裏這五十個義人饒恕其中的人嗎？將義人與惡人同殺，將義人與惡人一樣看待，這斷不是你所行的。審判全地的主豈不行公義嗎？」耶和華說：「我若在所多瑪城裏見有五十個義人，我就為他們的緣故饒恕那地方的眾人。」亞伯拉罕說：「我雖然是灰塵，還敢對主說話。假若這五十個義人短了五個，你就因為短了五個毀滅全城嗎？」他說：「我在那裏若見有四十五個，也不毀滅那城。」亞伯拉罕又對他說：「假若在那裏見有四十個怎麼樣呢？」他說：「為這四十個的緣故，我也不做這事。」亞伯拉罕說：「求主不要動怒，容我說，假若在那裏見有三十個怎麼樣呢？」他說：「我在那裏若見有三十個，我也不做這事。」亞伯拉罕說：「我還敢對主說話，假若在那裏見有二十個怎麼樣呢？」他說：「為這二十個的緣故，我也不毀滅那城。」亞伯拉罕說：「求主不要動怒，我再說這一次，假若在那裏見有十個呢？」他說：「為這十個的緣故，我也不毀滅那城。」耶和華與亞伯拉罕說完了話就走了；亞伯拉罕也回到自己的地方去了。
