如彼果為先知、奉耶和華之命、則當祈萬軍之耶和華、俾在耶和華室、猶大王宮、耶路撒冷、尚存之器、不被遷於巴比倫、

如彼誠先知、奉耶和華命、則可祈萬有之主耶和華、使其殿宇、及猶大王宮、耶路撒冷邑所遺之器皿、必不遷於巴比倫。

如彼誠為先知、誠奉主之命、則可祈萬有之主、使在主殿、猶大王宮、及耶路撒冷所遺之器皿、不遷於巴比倫、

If they are prophets and have the word of the Lord, let them plead with the Lord Almighty that the articles remaining in the house of the Lord and in the palace of the king of Judah and in Jerusalem not be taken to Babylon.

If they are prophets and have received a message from me, let them pray to me. I am the Lord who rules over all. Those prophets should pray that what is still in Jerusalem will remain here. They should pray that the objects in my house and the king’s palace will not be taken to Babylon.

If they are prophets, and if the word of the Lord is with them, then let them intercede with the Lord of hosts, that the vessels that are left in the house of the Lord, in the house of the king of Judah, and in Jerusalem may not go to Babylon.

If they really are prophets and speak the Lord’s messages, let them pray to the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. Let them pray that the articles remaining in the Lord’s Temple and in the king’s palace and in the palaces of Jerusalem will not be carried away to Babylon!’

If they are indeed prophets and if the word of the LORD is with them, let them intercede with the LORD of Armies not to let the articles that remain in the LORD’s temple, in the palace of the king of Judah, and in Jerusalem go to Babylon.’

But if they are prophets, and if the word of the Lord is with them, have them now plead with the Lord of armies that the vessels which are left in the house of the Lord and the house of the king of Judah and in Jerusalem do not go to Babylon.

I also told them,“ If they are really prophets and the LORD is speaking to them, let them pray earnestly to the LORD who rules over all. Let them plead with him not to let the valuable articles that are still left in the LORD’s temple, in the royal palace, and in Jerusalem be taken away to Babylon.

But if they are prophets, and if Yahweh’s word is with them, let them now make intercession to Yahweh of Armies, that the vessels which are left in Yahweh’s house, in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, don’t go to Babylon.

他們對撒母耳說：「請你為我們不停地呼求我們的上帝耶和華，求祂從非利士人手中拯救我們。」

他們求撒母耳，說：「求你為僕人們向你的上帝耶和華祈禱，免得我們死亡！因為我們要求立王是罪上加罪。」

至於我，我會不斷地為你們祈禱，免得我得罪耶和華。我會教導你們行善道、走正路。

人豈能以惡報善？他們竟設陷阱謀害我，求你回想我怎樣站在你面前為他們求情，怎樣求你不要向他們發烈怒。

然後，你們求告你們神明的名字，我求告耶和華，那聽禱告降下火來的就是上帝。」眾人非常贊同他的主意。

所以你們要彼此認罪，互相代禱，好得到醫治。義人的禱告有極大的力量和功效。以利亞先知和我們一樣同是血肉之軀，他懇切地祈求不要下雨，結果三年半沒有下雨。後來他再禱告求雨，天就降雨，地也長出了莊稼。

於是，希西迦王和亞摩斯的兒子以賽亞先知向天上的上帝呼求禱告。

耶和華說：「耶利米啊，不要為這些百姓禱告，不要替他們哀求，不要為他們向我祈求，因為我必不聽。

現在你們要取七頭公牛和七隻公羊，到我僕人約伯那裡，為自己獻上燔祭，因為你們對我的議論不如我僕人約伯說的有理。我僕人約伯會為你們禱告，我會悅納他的禱告，不按你們的愚妄懲罰你們。」於是，提幔人以利法、書亞人比勒達和拿瑪人瑣法遵命而行，耶和華悅納了約伯的禱告。

耶和華對我說：「就算摩西和撒母耳站在我面前求情，我也不會憐憫這些百姓。你把他們從我面前趕走吧！

我想在他們中間尋找一位重修城牆的人，站在我面前為這地方堵住缺口，免得我毀滅這裡。可是，我一個也找不到。

縱然這三個義人在那裡，我憑我的永恆起誓，他們也不能救自己的兒女，只能自己得救。這是主耶和華說的。倘若我叫瘟疫在那裡肆虐，發烈怒毀滅那裡的人和牲畜，縱然挪亞、但以理和約伯在那裡，我憑我的永恆起誓，他們也不能救自己的兒女，只能因義行而自己得救。這是主耶和華說的。

對耶利米先知說：「求你答應我們的懇求，為我們這些餘民向我們的上帝耶和華祈求。你也看見了，我們本來人數眾多，現在卻寥寥無幾。

現在，你們祈求上帝向我們施恩吧！然而，你們獻上這樣的祭物，祂怎會垂聽你們的祈求呢？

亞伯拉罕祈求上帝，上帝就治好了亞比米勒，也使他妻子和眾婢女恢復了生育能力。

即使挪亞、但以理和約伯三人在那裡，他們也只能因義行而自己得救。這是主耶和華說的。

他們取了公牛預備好，然後從早上到正午不斷地呼求：「巴力啊，求你應允我們！」可是毫無動靜。他們又繞著自己築的祭壇跳個不停。

倘若城中有五十個義人，你還要毀滅那城嗎？你會不會為了五十個義人而饒恕那座城呢？你絕不會黑白不分，把義人和惡人一同毀滅。你是普天下的審判者，難道不秉公行事嗎？」耶和華回答說：「倘若我在所多瑪城中找到五十個義人，我就要因他們的緣故饒恕全城。」亞伯拉罕說：「主啊，雖然我渺小如灰塵，但我還要大膽地求問你，倘若只有四十五個義人，你會因為少了五個義人而毀滅全城嗎？」耶和華說：「倘若我在城裡找到四十五個義人，我也不會毀滅那城。」亞伯拉罕又說：「倘若在那裡找到四十個義人呢？」耶和華說：「為了那四十個人的緣故，我不會毀滅那城。」亞伯拉罕說：「求主不要發怒，容許我再問一次，倘若在那裡只找到三十個義人呢？」耶和華說：「倘若在那裡只找到三十個，我也不會毀滅那城。」亞伯拉罕說：「我大膽再問一次，倘若在那裡只找到二十個義人呢？」耶和華說：「為了那二十個人的緣故，我也不會毀滅那城。」亞伯拉罕又說：「求主不要發怒，讓我問最後一次，倘若在那裡只找到十個義人呢？」耶和華說：「為了那十個人的緣故，我也不會毀滅那城。」耶和華跟亞伯拉罕說完話便離開了，亞伯拉罕也回家去了。
