Then I spoke to the priests and all these people. I said,“ The Lord says,‘ Do not listen to the prophets who speak to you. They say,“ Very soon the objects from the Lord’ s house will be brought back from Babylon.” Those prophets are prophesying lies to you.

我也对祭司和全体民众说：“耶和华说，‘你们不要听信假先知骗人的预言，他们说耶和华殿里的器皿很快就要从巴比伦运回来了。

我又对众祭司和这众民说：“耶和华这样说：‘你们的先知对你们预言，说：耶和华殿中的器皿快要从巴比伦送回来了。他们的话，你们不要听从，因为他们对你们说的是虚假的预言。

我又對眾祭司和這眾民說：“耶和華這樣說：‘你們的先知對你們預言，說：耶和華殿中的器皿快要從巴比倫送回來了。他們的話，你們不要聽從，因為他們對你們說的是虛假的預言。

對祭司們和這眾民我也告訴他們說：『永恆主這麼說：你們可不要聽你們的神言人的話，他們向你們傳神言說：「看吧，永恆主殿中的器皿就快要從巴比倫帶回來了」；其實他們向你們傳的是假神言。

我亦告祭司與庶民曰、耶和華云、爾之先知告爾曰、耶和華室之器、未幾必反自巴比倫、勿聽之、彼之預言、乃妄誕也、

耶利米告祭司庶民曰、耶和華云、先知有言、巴比倫不久必返我殿之重器、斯言荒誕、爾勿信之。當服事巴比倫王、而得生、何必逆命、使斯邑傾圮。

我亦告諸祭司與此民眾曰、主如是云、爾中之先知、向爾預言曰、主殿之器皿、必自巴比倫速返、爾勿信其言、彼告爾誕妄、以為預言、

Then I said to the priests and all these people,“ This is what the Lord says: Do not listen to the prophets who say,‘ Very soon now the articles from the Lord’s house will be brought back from Babylon.’ They are prophesying lies to you.

Then I spoke to the priests and to all this people, saying,“ Thus says the Lord: Do not listen to the words of your prophets who are prophesying to you, saying,‘ Behold, the vessels of the Lord’s house will now shortly be brought back from Babylon,’ for it is a lie that they are prophesying to you.

Then I spoke to the priests and the people and said,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Do not listen to your prophets who claim that soon the gold articles taken from my Temple will be returned from Babylon. It is all a lie!

Then I spoke to the priests and all these people, saying,“ This is what the LORD says:‘ Do not listen to the words of your prophets. They are prophesying to you, claiming,“ Look, very soon now the articles of the LORD’s temple will be brought back from Babylon.” They are prophesying a lie to you.

Then I spoke to the priests and to all this people, saying:“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Do not listen to the words of your prophets who prophesy to you, saying,“ Behold, the vessels of the Lord’s house will now shortly be brought back from Babylon”; for they are prophesying a lie to you.

Also I spoke to the priests and to all this people, saying,“ Thus says the Lord:‘ Do not listen to the words of your prophets who prophesy to you, saying,“ Behold, the vessels of the LORD’s house will now shortly be brought back from Babylon”; for they prophesy a lie to you.

Also I spake to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus saith Jehovah: Hearken not to the words of your prophets that prophesy unto you, saying, Behold, the vessels of Jehovah’s house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon; for they prophesy a lie unto you.

Then I spoke to the priests and all these people, saying,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Do not listen to the words of your prophets. They are prophesying to you, claiming,“ Look, very soon now the articles of the Lord’s temple will be brought back from Babylon.” They are prophesying a lie to you.

Also I spake to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Hearken not to the words of your prophets that prophesy unto you, saying, Behold, the vessels of the LORD’S house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.

I also told the priests and all the people,“ The LORD says,‘ Do not listen to what your prophets are saying. They are prophesying to you that the valuable articles taken from the LORD’s temple will be brought back from Babylon very soon. But they are prophesying a lie to you.

Also I spoke to the priests and to all this people, saying, Yahweh says,“ Don’t listen to the words of your prophets who prophesy to you, saying,‘ Behold, the vessels of Yahweh’s house will now shortly be brought again from Babylon;’ for they prophesy a lie to you.

Nebuchadnezzar removed the treasures from the Lord’ s temple. He also removed the treasures from the royal palace. He cut up the gold objects that Solomon, the king of Israel, had made for the temple. That’s what the Lord had announced would happen.

Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, removed all the objects that belong to my house. He took them to Babylon. Before two years are over, I will bring them back to this place.

The Lord handed Jehoiakim, the king of Judah, over to him. Nebuchadnezzar also took some of the objects from God’s temple. He carried them off to the temple of his god in Babylon. He put them among the treasures of his god.

But they prophesy lies to you. If you listen to them, you will be removed far away from your lands. I will drive you away from them. And you will die.

Don’t listen to the words of the prophets who say to you,‘ You won’t serve the king of Babylon.’ They are prophesying lies to you.

Nebuchadnezzar also took to Babylon objects from the Lord’ s temple. He put them in his own temple there.The other events of Jehoiakim’s rule are written in the records of the kings of Israel and Judah. He did things the Lord hated. Those things and everything that happened to him are also written in those records. Jehoiakim’s son Jehoiachin became the next king after him.Jehoiachin was 18 years old when he became king. He ruled in Jerusalem for three months and ten days. He did what was evil in the eyes of the Lord.In the spring, King Nebuchadnezzar sent for him. He brought him to Babylon. He also brought things of value from the Lord’ s temple. He made Zedekiah king over Judah and Jerusalem. Zedekiah was Jehoiachin’s uncle.

The elders and important leaders are the heads. The prophets who teach lies are the tails.
