Do not listen to the words of the prophets who are telling you,‘ Don’t serve the king of Babylon,’ for they are prophesying a lie to you.

不要听信那些先知骗人的预言，他们说巴比伦王不会征服你们。

不要听从那些对你们说‘你们必不会服事巴比伦王’的先知的话，因为他们向你们说的是虚假的预言。

那些神言人告訴你們說：「你們必不至於服事巴比倫王」的，他們的話你們可不要聽，因為他們向你們傳為神言的乃是虛假。

彼先知告爾曰、爾必不至服事巴比倫王、勿聽之、彼之預言、乃妄誕也、

惟彼先知、言爾不必服事巴比倫王、所言誕妄、爾勿聽從。

惟彼先知告爾云、爾必不至服事巴比倫王、勿聽信其言、彼告爾誕妄、以為預言、

Do not listen to the words of the prophets who say to you,‘ You will not serve the king of Babylon,’ for they are prophesying lies to you.

Don’t listen to the words of the prophets who say to you,‘ You won’t serve the king of Babylon.’ They are prophesying lies to you.

Do not listen to the words of the prophets who are saying to you,‘ You shall not serve the king of Babylon,’ for it is a lie that they are prophesying to you.

Do not listen to the false prophets who keep telling you,‘ The king of Babylon will not conquer you.’ They are liars.

So do not listen to the words of the prophets who talk to you, saying,‘ You will not serve the king of Babylon,’ for they are prophesying a lie to you;

Therefore do not listen to the words of the prophets who speak to you, saying,‘ You shall not serve the king of Babylon,’ for they prophesy a lie to you;

And hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon; for they prophesy a lie unto you.

Do not listen to the words of the prophets who are telling you,‘ You must not serve the king of Babylon,’ for they are prophesying a lie to you.

Therefore hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.

Do not listen to the prophets who are telling you that you do not need to serve the king of Babylon. For they are prophesying lies to you.

Don’t listen to the words of the prophets who speak to you, saying,‘ You shall not serve the king of Babylon;’ for they prophesy a lie to you.

But the LORD said to me,“ These prophets are prophesying a lie in my name. I did not send them, nor did I command them or speak to them. They are prophesying to you a false vision, worthless divination, the deceit of their own minds.

I did not send out these prophets, yet they ran. I did not speak to them, yet they prophesied.

For this is what the LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, says:“ Don’t let your prophets who are among you and your diviners deceive you, and don’t listen to the dreams you elicit from them,for they are prophesying falsely to you in my name. I have not sent them.” This is the LORD’s declaration.

For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ.And no wonder! For Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.So it is no great surprise if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will be according to their works.

So you should not listen to your prophets, diviners, dreamers, fortune-tellers, or sorcerers who say to you,‘ Don’t serve the king of Babylon!’They are prophesying a lie to you so that you will be removed from your land. I will banish you, and you will perish.

“ Law after law, law after law, line after line, line after line, a little here, a little there.”For he will speak to this people with stammering speech and in a foreign language.He had said to them,“ This is the place of rest; let the weary rest; this is the place of repose.” But they would not listen.The word of the LORD will come to them:“ Law after law, law after law, line after line, line after line, a little here, a little there,” so they go stumbling backward, to be broken, trapped, and captured.

Watch out for the dogs, watch out for the evil workers, watch out for those who mutilate the flesh.

“ I have heard what the prophets who prophesy a lie in my name have said:‘ I had a dream! I had a dream!’

The prophet Jeremiah said to the prophet Hananiah,“ Listen, Hananiah! The LORD did not send you, but you have led these people to trust in a lie.

They saw false visions and their divinations were a lie. They claimed,“ This is the LORD’s declaration,” when the LORD did not send them, yet they wait for the fulfillment of their message.Didn’t you see a false vision and speak a lying divination when you proclaimed,“ This is the LORD’s declaration,” even though I had not spoken?“‘ Therefore, this is what the Lord GOD says: You have spoken falsely and had lying visions; that’s why you discover that I am against you. This is the declaration of the Lord GOD.My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and speak lying divinations. They will not be present in the council of my people or be recorded in the register of the house of Israel, and they will not enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Lord GOD.“‘ Since they have led my people astray by saying,“ Peace,” when there is no peace, and since when a flimsy wall is being built, they plaster it with whitewash,therefore, tell those plastering it with whitewash that it will fall. Torrential rain will come, and I will send hailstones plunging down, and a whirlwind will be released.When the wall has fallen, will you not be asked,“ Where’s the whitewash you plastered on it?”“‘ So this is what the Lord GOD says: I will release a whirlwind in my wrath. Torrential rain will come in my anger, and hailstones will fall in destructive fury.I will demolish the wall you plastered with whitewash and knock it to the ground so that its foundation is exposed. The city will fall, and you will be destroyed within it. Then you will know that I am the LORD.After I exhaust my wrath against the wall and against those who plaster it with whitewash, I will say to you,“ The wall is no more and neither are those who plastered it—

If a man comes and utters empty lies—“ I will preach to you about wine and beer”— he would be just the preacher for this people!

Because you have disheartened the righteous person with lies( when I intended no distress), and because you have supported the wicked person so that he does not turn from his evil way to save his life,therefore you will no longer see false visions or practice divination. I will rescue my people from your hands. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’”

Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see if they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

“ Be on your guard against false prophets who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravaging wolves.

There were indeed false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, and will bring swift destruction on themselves.Many will follow their depraved ways, and the way of truth will be maligned because of them.They will exploit you in their greed with made-up stories. Their condemnation, pronounced long ago, is not idle, and their destruction does not sleep.

“ The LORD asked him,‘ How?’“ He said,‘ I will go and become a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’“ Then he said,‘ You will certainly entice him and prevail. Go and do that.’“ You see, the LORD has put a lying spirit into the mouth of all these prophets of yours, and the LORD has pronounced disaster against you.”
