But if any nation will bow its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon and serve him, I will let that nation remain in its own land to till it and to live there, declares the Lord.”’”

But suppose any nation will put its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon. And suppose it serves him. Then I will let that nation remain in its own land. I will let its people plow the land and live there,” ’ ” announces the Lord.

But the people of any nation that submits to the king of Babylon will be allowed to stay in their own country to farm the land as usual. I, the Lord, have spoken!’”

But as for the nation that will put its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon and serve him, I will leave it in its own land, and that nation will cultivate it and reside in it. This is the LORD’s declaration.”’”

Things will go better for the nation that submits to the yoke of servitude to the king of Babylon and is subject to him. I will leave that nation in its native land. Its people can continue to farm it and live in it. I, the LORD, affirm it!”’”

But the nation that brings their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon and serves him, that nation I will let remain in their own land,’ says Yahweh;‘ and they will till it and dwell in it.’”’”

『永恆主這麼說：住在這城裏的、必因刀劍、饑荒、瘟疫而死；但出去歸降迦勒底人的、必得活着；必掠得自己的性命而活着。

沙番的孫子亞希甘的兒子基大利向他們和他們屬下的人起誓、說：『不必怕服事迦勒底人，只管住在這地、服事巴比倫王，就可以平安無事。至於我呢，我要住在米斯巴，來侍立在那些將會到我們這裏來的迦勒底人面前；你們呢、務要積聚着酒、油、和夏天的果子，放在器皿裏，住在你們所佔據的城市中。還有那些在摩押地、在亞捫人中間、在以東地和各國之地的一切猶大人、一聽見巴比倫王給猶大留下些餘剩之民，並且立了沙番的孫子亞希甘的兒子基大利做總督來管理他們，這一切猶大人就從所放逐到的各地方回來，到猶大地、到米斯巴來見基大利；積聚着很多的酒和夏天的果子。

你們若死心塌地地住在這地，我就建立你們，必不傾覆；栽植你們，必不拔除；因為對降禍與你們、我改變了心意了。你們所怕的巴比倫王、你們不要怕；不要怕他，永恆主發神諭說，因為是我與你們同在，要拯救你們，要援救你們脫離他的手。

對猶大王西底家我也照這一切話告訴他說：『要把你們的脖子放在巴比倫王的軛下、去服事他和他的人民，以得存活。
