因为锡安先知的罪恶，和祭司的罪孽，就是他们在城中流了义人的血，所以，他们像瞎子在街上流荡，他们被血玷污，没有人可以触摸他们的衣服。

有哪一个先知，你们的祖先不迫害呢？你们杀了那些预先宣告那义者要来的人，现在又把那义者出卖了，杀害了。

音麦的儿子巴施户珥祭司，就是耶和华殿的总管，他听见了耶利米预言这些事，就殴打耶利米先知，把他枷锁在耶和华殿里，朝向便雅悯的上门内。

因为我每次发言，都大声呼叫；我呼喊，说：“有强暴和毁灭！”耶和华的话使我整天受人辱骂和讥讽。如果我说：“我不再提起他，也不再奉他的名说话”，他的话就像火在我心中焚烧，被困在我的骨里；我不能再抑制，实在不能了。我听见许多人耳语：“玛歌珥．米撒毕！告发他，我们要告发他！”我所有的知己朋友都等着看我行差踏错，他们说：“希望他会上当，我们就可以胜过他，向他报复。”但耶和华与我同在，像一个威武可畏的勇士，因此，逼迫我的都必跌倒，不能得胜。他们必大大蒙羞，因为他们失败了；这永远的耻辱是人不能忘记的。

佃户却抓住他的仆人，打伤一个，杀了一个，又用石头打死一个。于是园主再派其他的仆人去，人数比前一次更多，但佃户也是同样对付他们。最后，他派了自己的儿子去，说：‘他们必尊敬我的儿子。’佃户看见他的儿子，就彼此说：‘这是继承产业的；来，我们杀了他，占有他的产业吧！’于是他们抓住他，把他推出葡萄园外杀了。

那时，祭司长和民间的长老聚集在大祭司该亚法的官邸，商议怎样用诡计逮捕耶稣，把他杀害。

“我责打你们的儿女也是没用，因为他们不受管教。你们的刀剑，像灭命的狮子吞噬你们的先知。

公议会的人听了，非常恼怒，就想要杀他们。

祭司长和公议会全体都想找假证供来控告耶稣，好把他处死；虽然有许多人前来作假证供，却找不着证据。最后有两个人前来说：“这人说过：‘我可以拆毁神的圣所，三日之内又把它建造起来。’”大祭司就站起来，对耶稣说：“你为什么不回答？这些人作证，控告你的是什么呢？”耶稣却不作声。大祭司又对他说：“我指着永生的神要你起誓，告诉我们你是不是基督、神的儿子。”耶稣回答：“你已经说了﹙“你已经说了”或译：“这是你说的。”﹚；但我告诉你们：从今以后，你们要看见人子，坐在权能者的右边，驾着天上的云降临。”大祭司就撕开衣服，说：“他说了亵渎的话，我们还要什么证人呢？你们现在听见了这亵渎的话，认为怎样呢？”他们回答：“他是该死的。”

先知、圣徒和地上一切被杀的人的血，都在这城里找到了！”

耶和华说：“如果你与徒步的人同跑，尚且觉得疲倦，怎能跟马赛跑呢？你在平安稳妥之地，尚且跌倒，在约旦河边的丛林怎么办呢？因为连你的兄弟、你的父家，都以诡诈待你，连他们也在你后面高声喊叫。虽然他们对你说好话，你也不可信他们。”

他们说：“来吧！我们来设计对付耶利米；因为祭司的律法、智慧人的谋略、先知的话都不会断绝。来吧！我们用舌头攻击他，不理会他的一切话。”

其余的抓住王的仆人，凌辱他们，并且把他们杀了。

这样，你们就指证自己是杀害先知的人的子孙了。那么，去完成你们祖先的罪孽吧！你们这些蛇，这些毒蛇所生的啊，你们怎能逃脱地狱的刑罚呢？因此，我差派先知、智慧人和经学家到你们那里；有些你们要杀害又钉在十字架上，有些你们要在会堂里鞭打，从一个城赶逐到另一个城。所以，从义人亚伯的血起，到巴拉加的儿子撒迦利亚的血为止，他就是你们在圣所和祭坛中间所杀的，所有义人在地上所流的血，都要归在你们身上。

他们却戏弄神的使者，藐视他的话，讥诮他的先知，以致耶和华的忿怒临到他的子民身上，直到无法挽救。

至于我，我却像一只驯良的羊羔，被牵到屠宰之地；我并不知道他们设计谋害我。他们说：“我们来把这树和果子（“果子”原文作“它的食物”）都毁灭吧，把它从活人之地剪除，使它的名不再被人记念。”但万军之耶和华啊！你是凭公义审判人，试验人肺腑和心肠的。求你让我看见你在他们身上施行的报复，因为我已经把我的案件向你陈明了。因此耶和华指责那些亚拿突人，他们寻索你命，向你恐吓说：“不要奉耶和华的名说预言，免得你死在我们手中。”
