庶幾彼眾聽從、各舍惡途、則我心回意轉、不降我因其惡行所欲降彼之災、

Perhaps they will listen and each will turn from their evil ways. Then I will relent and not inflict on them the disaster I was planning because of the evil they have done.

Perhaps they will listen. Maybe they will turn from their evil ways. Then I will not do what I said I would. I will not bring trouble on them. I had planned to punish them because of the evil things they had done.

It may be they will listen, and every one turn from his evil way, that I may relent of the disaster that I intend to do to them because of their evil deeds.

爾其洗滌自潔、去爾惡行於我目前、止息行惡、學習行善、尋求公義、懲治強暴、為孤子伸冤、為嫠婦辨屈、○耶和華曰、爾曹其來、爾我互辯、爾罪雖丹如朱、將白如雪、雖紅若絳、將白若毛、如爾願之而順從、則可食地之美產、

庶猶大家得聞我所欲降之災、則各轉離惡途、致我赦其愆尤罪戾、

如惡人轉離所行之惡、循法合理、必保其生、因其思維、悛改所犯之罪、必得生存、不至死亡、以色列家猶云、主道不公、以色列家歟、我之道、豈非公乎、爾之道、豈非不公乎、故主耶和華曰、以色列家歟、我必依各人所行而鞫之、爾其回轉、離棄諸罪、免愆尤之窒礙、

亞哈聞言、則裂其衣、衣麻禁食、臥亦衣麻、行亦柔謹、

人畜俱披麻、眾皆切求上帝、各轉離其惡途、去其手之強暴、上帝或回心轉意、息其烈怒、俾我不亡、亦未可知、上帝見其所為、咸離惡途、乃回厥意、不降所言之災、

亞哈自卑於我前、爾見之乎、緣此、於彼尚存之日、我不降災、迨其子時、乃降災於其家、

禱耶和華曰、耶和華歟、我在故土、非言此乎、故亟逃往他施、蓋我知爾為仁慈矜憫之上帝、遲於發怒、富有恩惠、回意不降其災、

庶斯民在耶和華前祈禱、各轉離其惡途、蓋耶和華所言加於斯民之忿怒甚大也、
