或者他們肯聽從，各人轉離自己的惡道，我就回心轉意，不把我因為他們的惡行原想要施行的災禍，降給他們。

彼或聽從、各轉離其惡途、俾我回意、不以我因其惡、所欲施行之災降之、

庶幾聽從、改其惡行、我欲降災、以罰其罪、止而不行。

庶幾彼眾聽從、各舍惡途、則我心回意轉、不降我因其惡行所欲降彼之災、

Perhaps they will listen and each will turn from their evil ways. Then I will relent and not inflict on them the disaster I was planning because of the evil they have done.

Perhaps they will listen. Maybe they will turn from their evil ways. Then I will not do what I said I would. I will not bring trouble on them. I had planned to punish them because of the evil things they had done.

It may be they will listen, and every one turn from his evil way, that I may relent of the disaster that I intend to do to them because of their evil deeds.

我甚麼時候宣布要拔出、拆毀、毀滅一邦或一國，如果我論到的那一邦轉離他們的惡行，我就必回心轉意，不把我原定的災禍降給他們。同樣，我甚麼時候宣布要建立、栽植一邦或一國，如果他們行我眼中看為惡的事，不聽從我的話，我就必回心轉意，不把我應許的好處賜給他們。

你們要洗滌自己，潔淨自己；從我眼前除掉你們的惡行；要停止作惡，學習行善，尋求公平，指責殘暴的人，替孤兒伸冤，為寡婦辨屈。”耶和華說：“你們來，我們彼此辯論；你們的罪雖像硃紅，必變成雪白；雖紅如丹顏，必白如羊毛。你們若願意聽從，就必得吃地上的美物；

或者猶大家聽見我想要降給他們的一切災禍，各人就回轉，離開自己的惡道，我就赦免他們的罪孽和罪惡。”

還有，惡人若回轉離開他所行的惡，行正直公義的事，他就可以使自己的性命存活。因為他思量了，就轉離他所犯的一切罪過，所以他必然存活，不致滅亡。但以色列家還說：‘主所行的不公平。’以色列家啊，我所行的哪裡不公平呢？豈不是你們所行的不公平嗎？“因此，以色列家啊，我必照著你們各人所行的審判你們。你們回轉吧！離開你們的一切罪過吧！免得罪孽成為你們的絆腳石。這是主耶和華的宣告。

亞哈聽見這些話，就撕裂自己的衣服，披上麻布，禁食，睡在麻布上，並且神色頹喪地行走。

不論人畜，都要披上麻衣；各人要懇切呼求神，悔改，離開惡行，摒棄手中的強暴。或者神回心轉意，不發烈怒，使我們不致滅亡。’”神看見他們所作的，就是悔改離開惡行，神就轉意，不把所說的災禍降在他們身上了。

“你看見了亞哈在我面前怎樣謙卑自己，因為他在我面前謙卑自己，所以他還在世的日子，我必不降這災禍；到他兒子的日子，我必降這災禍與他的家。”

就向耶和華禱告，說：“耶和華啊！我還在本國的時候，不是這樣說過嗎？我知道你是有恩典有憐憫的神，不輕易發怒，並且有豐盛的慈愛，轉意不降災禍，所以我才急忙逃往他施去。

也許他們會向耶和華懇求，各人回轉，離開自己的惡道，因為耶和華向這人民所說要發的怒氣和烈怒是很大的。”
