所以你當束腰，起來，將我所吩咐你的一切話都告訴他們；不要因他們驚惶，免得我使你在他們面前驚惶。看哪，我今日使你成為堅城、鐵柱、銅牆，對抗全地和猶大的君王、官長、祭司，並這地的百姓。

耶和華如此說：「你去買陶匠的瓷瓶，你和百姓中的長老、位尊的祭司出去到欣嫩子谷、哈珥西的門口，在那裏宣告我所吩咐你的話，說：『猶大君王和耶路撒冷的居民哪，當聽耶和華的話。萬軍之耶和華－以色列的上帝如此說：看哪，我必使災禍臨到這地方，凡聽見的人都必耳鳴；

耶和華帶領我，叫我不再牧放羊羣，對我說：『你去向我子民以色列說預言。』「現在你要聽耶和華的話。你說：『不要向以色列說預言，也不要向以撒家傳講。』所以耶和華如此說：『你的妻子要在城中作妓女，你的兒女要倒在刀下；你的地必有人用繩子量了瓜分，你自己必死在不潔淨之地；以色列百姓必被擄，離開本地。』」
