彼得和众使徒回答：“我们必须顺从上帝，胜于顺从人。

彼得和约翰回答他们说：“听从你们，不听从上帝，在上帝面前合理不合理，你们自己判断吧！

“耶和华如此说：你要站在耶和华殿的院内，对犹大所有城镇的人，就是到耶和华的殿来礼拜的，传讲我所吩咐你的一切话，一字也不可删减。

所以你当束腰，起来，将我所吩咐你的一切话都告诉他们；不要因他们惊惶，免得我使你在他们面前惊惶。看哪，我今日使你成为坚城、铁柱、铜墙，对抗全地和犹大的君王、官长、祭司，并这地的百姓。

耶和华如此说：“你去买陶匠的瓷瓶，你和百姓中的长老、位尊的祭司出去到欣嫩子谷、哈珥西的门口，在那里宣告我所吩咐你的话，说：‘犹大君王和耶路撒冷的居民哪，当听耶和华的话。万军之耶和华—以色列的上帝如此说：看哪，我必使灾祸临到这地方，凡听见的人都必耳鸣；

耶和华带领我，叫我不再牧放羊群，对我说：‘你去向我子民以色列说预言。’“现在你要听耶和华的话。你说：‘不要向以色列说预言，也不要向以撒家传讲。’所以耶和华如此说：‘你的妻子要在城中作妓女，你的儿女要倒在刀下；你的地必有人用绳子量了瓜分，你自己必死在不洁净之地；以色列百姓必被掳，离开本地。’”
