This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, said to me:“ Take from my hand this cup filled to the brim with my anger, and make all the nations to whom I send you drink from it.

This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, said to me:“ Take from my hand this cup filled with the wine of my wrath and make all the nations to whom I send you drink it.

The Lord is the God of Israel. He said to me,“ Take this cup from my hand. It is filled with the wine of my great anger. Make all the nations to which I send you drink it.

Thus the Lord, the God of Israel, said to me:“ Take from my hand this cup of the wine of wrath, and make all the nations to whom I send you drink it.

So the LORD, the God of Israel, spoke to me in a vision.“ Take this cup from my hand. It is filled with the wine of my wrath. Take it and make the nations to whom I send you drink it.

For Yahweh, the God of Israel, says to me:“ Take this cup of the wine of wrath from my hand, and cause all the nations to whom I send you to drink it.

For the Lord holds a cup in his hand that is full of foaming wine mixed with spices. He pours out the wine in judgment, and all the wicked must drink it, draining it to the dregs.

Wake up, wake up, O Jerusalem! You have drunk the cup of the Lord’s fury. You have drunk the cup of terror, tipping out its last drops.

Let them see their destruction with their own eyes. Let them drink deeply of the anger of the Almighty.

must drink the wine of God’s anger. It has been poured full strength into God’s cup of wrath. And they will be tormented with fire and burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and the Lamb.

This is what the Sovereign Lord, your God and Defender, says:“ See, I have taken the terrible cup from your hands. You will drink no more of my fury.

He will rain down blazing coals and burning sulfur on the wicked, punishing them with scorching winds.

Babylon has been a gold cup in the Lord’s hands, a cup that made the whole earth drunk. The nations drank Babylon’s wine, and it drove them all mad.

“ So tell them,‘ This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: May all your jars be filled with wine.’ And they will reply,‘ Of course! Jars are made to be filled with wine!’“ Then tell them,‘ No, this is what the Lord means: I will fill everyone in this land with drunkenness— from the king sitting on David’s throne to the priests and the prophets, right down to the common people of Jerusalem.I will smash them against each other, even parents against children, says the Lord. I will not let my pity or mercy or compassion keep me from destroying them.’”

So the angel swung his sickle over the earth and loaded the grapes into the great winepress of God’s wrath.
