我要使他们的欢乐声、新郎新娘的欢笑声、推磨声和灯光都消失。

我又要使歡喜和快樂的聲音，新郎和新婦的聲音，推磨的聲音和燈的亮光，從他們中間止息。

我又要止息他們歡喜和快樂的聲音、新郎和新娘的聲音、推磨的聲音和燈的亮光。

我也必使歡躍的聲音和喜樂的聲音、新郎的聲音和新婦的聲音、推磨的聲音和燈的亮光、從他們中間都息滅掉。

且我必於其中、絕其歡欣喜樂之聲、新娶者及新婦之聲、旋磨之音、燈火之光、

不聞懽忭之言、新娶者及新婦之音、旋磨之聲不徹於外、燈火之光不耀於內、我使之然。

必使其中、再無欣喜之聲、歡樂之聲、新娶者之聲、新婦之聲、旋磨之聲、亦使再無燈光、

I will banish from them the sounds of joy and gladness, the voices of bride and bridegroom, the sound of millstones and the light of the lamp.

I will put an end to the sounds of joy and gladness. I will put an end to the voices of brides and grooms. The sound of grinding millstones will not be heard anymore. And lamps will not be lit anymore.

Moreover, I will banish from them the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the grinding of the millstones and the light of the lamp.

I will take away your happy singing and laughter. The joyful voices of bridegrooms and brides will no longer be heard. Your millstones will fall silent, and the lights in your homes will go out.

I will eliminate the sound of joy and gladness from them— the voice of the groom and the bride, the sound of the millstones and the light of the lamp.

Moreover, I will eliminate from them the voice of jubilation and the voice of joy, the voice of the groom and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones and the light of the lamp.

Moreover I will take from them the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones and the light of the lamp.

I will put an end to the sounds of joy and gladness, to the glad celebration of brides and grooms in these lands. I will put an end to the sound of people grinding meal. I will put an end to lamps shining in their houses.

Moreover I will take from them the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the lamp.

那时，我必在犹大的城市中和耶路撒冷的街道上，使欢欣和快乐的声音、新郎和新妇的声音止息，因为这地必要变为荒场。”

我必使你唱歌的喧声止息；人也再听不到你的琴声。

弹琴、奏乐、吹笛、吹号的声音，在你中间决不能再听到了！各样手艺技工，在你中间决不能再找到了！推磨的声音，在你中间决不能再听到了！灯的亮光，在你中间决不能再照耀了！新郎新娘的声音，在你中间决不能再听到了！你的商人一向都是地上的大人物，万国都因你的邪术受了迷惑。

因为万军之耶和华以色列的神这样说：‘看哪！我必在你们眼前，在你们还活着的日子，使欢笑和快乐的声音，新郎和新娘的声音，都从这地方止息了。’”

“耶和华这样说：‘论到这地方，你们说：“这地荒废，没有人烟，也没有牲畜。”但在这荒凉、没有人烟、没有居民、也没有牲畜的犹大各城和耶路撒冷的街上，必再听见欢喜和快乐的声音，新郎和新妇的声音；还要听见那些带着感恩祭到耶和华殿的人的声音说：“你们要称谢万军之耶和华，因为耶和华是至善的，他的慈爱永远长存。”因为我必使这地被掳的归回，像起初一样。’”这是耶和华说的。

因为我和我的族人被人出卖，快要毁灭，被杀尽、灭绝了。我们若是只被卖为奴婢，我也必闭口不言，但王的损失是敌人不能补偿的。”

文书上写着：王准许在各城的犹大人，可以聚集起来，保护自己的性命；也可以毁灭、杀尽和灭绝那些敌对犹大人的各族和各省的势力，包括妇孺，并且可以掠夺他们的财产；

日头、光明、月亮、星宿变暗，雨后乌云再现的时候。那时，看守房子的发抖，强壮的弯腰，推磨的稀少，都停了工，往窗外看的都昏暗了，当街的门口关闭，推磨的声音微弱。雀鸟一叫，人就起来。唱歌的歌声（“歌声”原文作“女子”）都低微。

我必使她的一切欢乐、节期、新月、安息日，或任何盛会都终止。

新酒悲哀，葡萄树衰残，心中欢乐的，变为叹息。击鼓的喜乐止息，宴乐者的喧哗停止，弹琴的喜乐也止息了。他们不得再饮酒唱歌；喝浓酒的，必觉苦味。混乱的城破毁了，各家关门闭户，使人不得进入。有人在街上因无酒呼喊；一切喜乐都已过去，地上的喜乐都消逝了。城门所剩下的只有荒凉，城门被撞得粉碎。

王旨交给众驿使传到王的各省，吩咐要在一日之内，在十二月，就是亚达月十三日，把所有的犹大人，无论老少妇孺，都全部毁灭、杀绝、除尽，并且抢夺他们的财产。
