If at that time you and your children return to the Lord your God, and if you obey with all your heart and all your soul all the commands I have given you today,then the Lord your God will restore your fortunes. He will have mercy on you and gather you back from all the nations where he has scattered you.Even though you are banished to the ends of the earth, the Lord your God will gather you from there and bring you back again.The Lord your God will return you to the land that belonged to your ancestors, and you will possess that land again. You have declared today that the Lord is your God. And you have promised to walk in his ways, and to obey his decrees, commands, and regulations, and to do everything he tells you.The Lord has declared today that you are his people, his own special treasure, just as he promised, and that you must obey all his commands.And if you do, he will set you high above all the other nations he has made. Then you will receive praise, honor, and renown. You will be a nation that is holy to the Lord your God, just as he promised.”

“ If they sin against you— and who has never sinned?— you might become angry with them and let their enemies conquer them and take them captive to their land far away or near.But in that land of exile, they might turn to you in repentance and pray,‘ We have sinned, done evil, and acted wickedly.’If they turn to you with their whole heart and soul in the land of their enemies and pray toward the land you gave to their ancestors— toward this city you have chosen, and toward this Temple I have built to honor your name—then hear their prayers and their petition from heaven where you live, and uphold their cause.Forgive your people who have sinned against you. Forgive all the offenses they have committed against you. Make their captors merciful to them,

If they turn to you with their whole heart and soul in the land of their captivity and pray toward the land you gave to their ancestors— toward this city you have chosen, and toward this Temple I have built to honor your name—

They will be my people, and I will be their God.And I will give them one heart and one purpose: to worship me forever, for their own good and for the good of all their descendants.And I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never stop doing good for them. But from there you will search again for the Lord your God. I will bring that group through the fire and make them pure. I will refine them like silver and purify them like gold. They will call on my name, and I will answer them. I will say,‘ These are my people,’ and they will say,‘ The Lord is our God.’”

And I will give them singleness of heart and put a new spirit within them. I will take away their stony, stubborn heart and give them a tender, responsive heart,so they will obey my decrees and regulations. Then they will truly be my people, and I will be their God.
