你看，永恆主發神諭說，那些神言人拿口舌發神諭說，是永恆主發神諭說的，我總跟他們作對。

耶和华说：“那些先知用舌头，说是耶和华说的；我必与他们反对。”

Yes,” declares the Lord,“ I am against the prophets who wag their own tongues and yet declare,‘ The Lord declares.’

Yes,” announces the Lord.“ I am against the prophets who speak their own words. But they still say,‘ Here is what the Lord says.’

Behold, I am against the prophets, declares the Lord, who use their tongues and declare,‘ declares the Lord.’

I am against these smooth tongued prophets who say,‘ This prophecy is from the Lord!’

I am against the prophets”— the LORD’s declaration—“ who use their own tongues to make a declaration.

他們不斷地對藐視永恆主之話的人說：「你們必平安無事」；又對所有隨着自己頑強之心意而行的人說：「必沒有災禍會臨到你們。」』

假使有人以虛假的作風往來而撒謊說：『我要向你們發神言講論酒和濃酒的題目』，這種人便可以做這人民的神言人了！

於是以色列王集合了神言人四百位，問他們說：『我到基列的拉末去交戰可以麼？還是忍着不去呢？』他們說：『你可以上去；上帝一定將那地交在王手裏。』

他們對先見們說：『不要見異象哦』；對見異象的人說：『不要向我們傳講對的異象哦；只要向我們說圓滑的話，傳講虛幻的異象好啦；

基拿拿的兒子西底家為自己造了鐵角說：『永恆主這麼說：「你要用這些角去牴觸亞蘭人，直到將他們滅盡。」』所有的神言人也都這樣傳神言說：『你可以上基列的拉末去，取得勝利；永恆主一定將那地交在王手裏。』那去召米該雅的使者對米該雅說：『看哪，眾神言人都一口同聲向王說吉祥話；你的話也要像他們中間的一位；總要說吉祥話呀。』

永恆主說：「誰去引誘以色列王亞哈上去、倒斃在基列的拉末呢？」這個說這樣，那個說那樣。隨後有一個靈出來，站在永恆主面前、說：「我去引誘他。」永恆主問他說：「你用甚麼法子呢？」他說：「我要出去，在他的眾神言人口中做個虛假之靈。」永恆主說：「這樣你就會引誘，並且能成功；你出去這樣行吧。」
