耶和華曰、人豈能退藏於密、使我不見之乎、我豈非充乎天地哉、

人能退藏於密、使我不見乎、我豈不能充乎天地哉。

主曰、人豈能藏匿於隱密、使我不見乎、主曰、我豈不充滿天地乎、

耶和華的眼目無所不在，善人和惡人都被祂鑒察。

你知道我們的罪惡，對我們隱秘的罪瞭若指掌。

那些向耶和華深藏計謀的人有禍了！他們暗中行事，自以為無人看見也無人知道。

我去哪裡可躲開你的靈？我跑到哪裡可避開你的面？

「然而，上帝啊，你真的會住在人間嗎？看啊，諸天尚且不夠你居住，更何況我建造的這殿呢？

耶和華說：「天是我的寶座，地是我的腳凳，你們要為我造怎樣的殿宇？哪裡可作我的安歇之處？

我想，黑暗一定可以遮蔽我，讓我四圍變成黑夜。然而，即使黑暗也無法遮住你的視線。在你看來，黑夜亮如白晝，黑暗與光明無異。你創造了我，使我在母腹中成形。我稱謝你，因為你創造我的作為是多麼奇妙可畏，我心深深知道。我在隱秘處被造、在母腹中成形的時候，你對我的形體一清二楚。我的身體還未成形，你早已看見了。你為我一生所定的年日，我還沒有出生就已經記在你的冊子上了。

他們自言自語：「上帝忘記了，祂掩面不理這些事！」

那至高至上、永遠長存的聖者說：「我住在至高至聖之處，但我也跟痛悔、謙卑的人同住，使他們心靈振作。

夏甲稱對她說話的耶和華為「看顧人的上帝」，她說：「我竟然在這裡看見了看顧我的上帝。」

即使他們挖洞鑽進陰間，我也要把他們揪出來；即使他們爬上高天，我也要把他們拉下來；即使他們藏在迦密山的峰頂，我也要去搜尋，捉住他們；即使他們潛到海底，我也要派海蛇去吞咬他們；

你卻說，『上帝知道什麼？祂怎能隔著幽暗施行審判？當祂在穹蒼巡弋時，密雲擋住祂的視線。』

願他們都讚美耶和華，因為唯有祂的名當受尊崇，祂的榮耀在天地之上。

祂回答說：「以色列和猶大人罪大惡極，遍地是血腥，滿城是冤屈，他們說，『耶和華丟棄了這片土地，祂看不見我們。』

「然而，上帝啊，你真的會住在人間嗎？看啊，諸天尚且不夠你居住，更何況我建造的這殿呢？

但我要奪走以東人所有的一切，我要使他們無處藏身。他們及其孩子、弟兄和鄰居必一同滅亡。

世人都微不足道，祂在天軍和世人中獨行其道，無人能攔阻祂的手，或質問祂的作為。

教會是基督的身體，蘊涵著那無所不在、充滿萬物者的豐盛。

祂又對我說：「人子啊，你看見以色列的長老在自己藏神像的房間裡暗中所做的了嗎？他們說，『耶和華看不見我們，祂已經拋棄了這片土地。』」

「有人與光明為敵，不認識光明之道，也不走光明之路。兇手黎明起來，殺害貧苦的人，夜晚又去做賊。姦夫的眼睛盼著黃昏，心想，『沒人會看見我』，並把臉蒙起來。盜賊夜間挖牆行竊，日間躲藏起來，不想認識光明。

諸天尚且容納不下祂，誰能為祂建造殿宇呢？我是誰，怎能為祂建造殿宇？我不過是建個向祂燒香的地方。
